Small jobs welcome

"I asked Bob to give me a quote to repair a back porch door and sunscreen that has fallen off. I also asked him to help with painting my mail box. Bob was very prompt to come by. He gave his estimates and promised to come the next day morning to complete the project. He was on time and did a great job and on budget. I will recommend him again and I am certainly keeping his number in case I need him in future. Great guy to work with and great service. Thank you!"

"I needed to screen in a balcony in my townhouse and Jones did a really nice job. Amber was fantastic staying in touch with me and communicating within minutes if I had a question. The porch went up in two days, wired with a ceiling fan. Josh also saw some issues beforehand and asked a few questions I hadn’t considered, so I appreciated his foresight; Justin and his crew made it look beautiful. Thanks to the team, I’m so happy with my new porch!"

"They were really great. My husband said he wanted pizazz and they delivered. We required more wood and stain than expected and they did everything to perfection. Emmanuel did not charge extra and did the job for grace and passion. They gave a very detailed estimate and stuck with it. He would come everyday and check on the project if he wasn't working on our job. They were amazingly courteous and open to comments and suggestions. They had separate teams for different functions. It was a major project with 4 different teams and they all communicated."

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

The average cost to build or install a gazebo is around $5,700, with prices typically ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. For example, square gazebos and those made from metal can be more expensive, while brick is a more affordable material. Adding custom features like built-in seating or lighting will also increase the price. You can potentially save money by purchasing a prefabricated kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

Clean regularly, seal wood surfaces, and inspect for damage or rust to ensure longevity and safety.

Porticos last 25 to 60 years, depending on the material used. A portico’s roof typically matches the roof of the rest of the home and can be replaced simultaneously. Portico columns have a similar life span if properly maintained and regularly sealed. In some areas, harsh weather and extreme temperatures may cause a portico to wear more quickly.

Yes, many gazebos are permanent structures built onto the land. However, if you have a portable gazebo that isn’t secured to the ground, you’ll want to check the manufacturer’s instructions to understand when to put it away. Generally speaking, when it’s particularly windy or wet outside, you should take down your temporary gazebo.

Log cabins are relatively difficult to maintain compared to a traditional house. That’s because log cabins require regular upkeep and care that can include refinishing and corncob blasting, a process similar to sandblasting that shoots ground-up corncob with compressed air.
