"The Thorntonâ s were very professional. They called first to let me know they were on the way to evaluate the work. They gave me two options on just the work and then an option on stump grinding and clean up. The Thorntonâ s were very knowledgeable on their craftsmanship and reasonably on their prices. Very Nice customer service! I would recommend them to anyone who would need their services of tree cutting, stump grinding, and clearing a field!ð"

"Hiring Hunter with Hometown Haulers was the best decision we made to help with an extremely difficult and stressful situation. He is a great communicator and prompt responder. He showed up when he said he would, which is a rarity these days. He showed nothing but kindness and professionalism. "They went above and beyond. We are very pleased with their work. They are an awesome crew. Our yard was out of control with so much debris and trash due to illness and they were so kind and professional in taking care of this. I would highly recommend to anyone. We will be calling them again for future services especially since they do so much in such a wide range of things. If you have anyone who needs anything from furniture moved out of a house to clearing a yard, trash, cleanup , and many other services please check their website. Honestly we will miss them they were that courteous. They worked nonstop."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.

Many species, especially when well-established, are not fans of transplantation. You’ll need to decide if you want to risk splashing the cash, understanding that transplantation isn’t always successful. Again, this is where hiring a pro is helpful, as they can give you all the essential info you need to ensure your tree stands a fighting chance.

Lightning can cause massive damage, fires, and openings for other threats like bugs or fungal diseases. Barring any large fires or explosions, it’s difficult to tell how much damage a lightning strike has done until after a thorough inspection. Contact local authorities immediately if lightning strikes a tree in your yard and it causes a fire or explosion.

In nature, there are many things that can cause a tree to die, including diseases, insects, and natural disasters such as fires or droughts. Non-natural methods of killing a tree include herbicides or manual intervention, such as cutting it down. Consult a tree removal professional about your options for naturally killing a tree.

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.
