Anchor Collision Center is an auto body repair shop that emphasizes customer service and exceptional craftsmanship. Quality auto body repairs will maintain or even increase the value of your vehicle. Our goal is to provide collision repairs to your vehicle that are quick and returns your vehicle to its pre-accident condition.

"Seven weeks for a three week job (per their estimate). $500 over budget (per their estimate) Merchant was putting other jobs that came in after ours before ours. Still finding countless flaws in the paint job. Many chips were not sanded out, but simply painted over. Reassembly of both mirrors and one lamp was incorrect. Merchant was very combative when confronted about unfinished work. Merchant blamed vehicle for obvious flaws in workmanship. Merchant tacked on unsubstantiated fees. Merchant charged 50% more than quoted for a major replacement part."

Buffing and Polishing questions, answered by experts

You don’t need to seal German smear; the mortar is already acting as a sealant for the bricks. You can seal the mortar, though, if you wish to further protect the area from stains, moisture, and dirt or make it easier to clean and maintain. Note that a sealant will make the mortar appear more glossy.

Unsealed granite is more susceptible to staining and other damage. Regularly sealing your granite countertops decreases the chances you’ll need to repair damaged countertops in the future. It also keeps it looking shiny rather than becoming dull over time. You can check whether your granite needs resealing by putting a few drops of water on the counter and waiting 15 minutes to see whether the water permeates the surface.

Due to soapstone's non-porous nature and antimicrobial properties, you don’t need to seal it like other stone materials like marble or granite. However, even though sealing isn't required, it can enhance soapstone's natural stain resistance. Another protective option is to apply mineral oil once per month.

Like most stones, limestone should be sealed. Its porous nature makes it prone to staining from spills, and the iron in the stone can cause it to turn yellow when exposed to moisture or harsh chemicals. Proper sealing can help prevent these problems and protect the stone's appearance.

Standing water can lead to surface discoloration if your granite countertops are improperly sealed. However, it’s possible to remove hard water stains with a baking soda paste. Take more care with acidic liquids, such as fruit juice or red wine, which can leave more permanent stains. That’s why it’s so important to reseal these surfaces regularly.
