"Went through them the beginning of last year to get my bathroom redone and it was beautiful! And when they had asked for me to leave a review I was more than happy. They redid my bathroom floor, repainted, installed a vanity, and even redid my plumbing. I?m getting a lot of work done in my house little by little.. Grout and caulk are commonly used together, especially in bathrooms. Grout goes between the tiles and keeps them sturdy and in place on the walls or floor. Caulk goes in corners or where two different materials meet (like where the bathtub meets the tile) to create a waterproof seal. However, they are not interchangeable—you shouldn't use caulk to adhere tile and shouldn’t use mortar if you need a waterproof seal.

The grout shade you choose comes down to personal taste and preference. A darker grout will give you a more dramatic and noticeable contrast with the tile around it; however, lighter grout helps create a more uniform look when blending the colors together. You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.
