Eben Gray's Tree Service provided excellent service for our tree removal project. We were immediately impressed when we contacted the company to request a quote. The office staff were very helpful, and a quote was prepared for us on the same day. The price was the best of all the contractors in our area. The work we contracted with EGTS was completed in a very timely manner, and the crew members were professional, highly skilled, and focused on the safe removal of the trees on our property. We were amazed to see how well they worked together to ensure the job was done properly. The trees were removed, the debris collected, and the property left in remarkably tidy condition. It was fascinating to watch the crew operate the heavy equipment! On another occasion we asked EGTS to help remove yard debris that was left from our "weekend" yard work. They completed the debris removal within a day of our request. We were very grateful for the prompt service! The crew made certain the area was completely cleared of debris and left the property in excellent condition. We highly recommend Eben Gray's Tree Service!

True professionals all the way. Removed 2 large pine trees with a crane,even placed boards on the grass to protect it. It was definitely a great job along with grinding the stumps, the entire job took about 3 hours. They even cleaned the areas completely. No traces at all. I definitely recommend their services.

They arrived at 08:15 like they said they would and went right to work. I called my wife at 11:00 to check on their progress and she said they were already done. The trees were gone, the stumps were ground, and everything had been cleaned up. If not for the missing trees, you would never know they were there. Five of the trees were in the back yard behind the house and power lines. They had no issues getting to them and removing them.

I was very pleased with the response time as our area had a lot of damage from Tropical Storm Irma. They got to me in less than a week. I have used them before on several big tree removals. They are always professional and courteous. They always use care when working and clean up after the job is done.

They came when they said they would come. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after removal of the trees, leaving no debris behind. There was a small crack in the sidewalk between the driveway and the front porch after they finished, from the weight of the crane. Otherwise, there were no problems. I believe the cost was reasonable for the work involved.

Response time on the quote was great. However, it took them quite a while to get back and get the project done. Even though I authorized the work when I got the quote and he led me to believe he would have a crew out within the next couple of days, I had to call several times to get them back. In the meantime another piece of the tree fell into my neighbor's house which I am liable for. When they finally came out, they were late. First they were running behind schedule, then the crane they were planning to use broke down, so they worked me in with their larger one. They had to roll the crane over my patio, which broke under the load, not of rolling over, but of dropping the center of the tire down right on the edge when he pulled the outriggers back in. I feel like this could have - and should have - been avoided. The extra foot would not have moved the boom into a position such that the job couldn't be done safely and efficiently. It is quite visible in the attached photo that the tires were right on the edge. They properly placed plywood over the concrete which kept it from cracking while rolling it over. I authorized them to roll over it, given they protected it as much as possible, but knew better than to think it could sustain an impact of that magnitude. Huge ruts in my yard from the weight of the crane were expected and they certainly delivered plenty of those. The price was right but it will cost me much more than I saved to repair the damage they caused. All that being said, they did quickly remove the dead tree and worked together very efficiently. The crew was friendly and never inappropriate. It was indeed a site to see. The gentleman they put in the tree was a definite pro. He knew precisely which cut to make where. I did have to ask them to cut the stump down further. There was a large piece of metal grown into the edge of it, but the first pass did not come anywhere close to it, and the other two trunks would not have been impacted by the metal. They were very polite and cut it closer at my request, but I feel like I should not have had to ask.

Service was professional, expeditious and exceptional from start to finish!  Showed up on time, excellent responsiveness to questions and completed all promises made.  Highly recommend this company if you like exceptional work at a reasonable price!

Awesome!  Eben Gray sent an estimator to my home the day after I called and gave me by far the lowest price. The rep explained that they are setup for tree removal, whereas a lot of other companies that do tree removal are setup for trimming trees, not removing them. Hence, their price for tree removal was exceptional, as was their service.
The crew showed up right on time and ready to go to work.  In fact, within 30 minutes of arriving, the first tree was down. I really liked the way they cut the trees and remove them. Rather than giant tractors tearing the living daylights out of my yard, they parked a crane truck in my driveway, strapped the crane to the tree, cut the trunk and lifted the tree into the street in front of my house. The trees never actually touched my yard and the processing was done in the street so no limbs or debris of any size was in the yard.
While part of the crew was cutting the next tree, part of the crew was processing the tree into 8-10' lengths in the street, and one guy operated the stump grinder. This crew was like a well oiled machine operating in perfect sync. No time wasted, that's for sure. Eight trees were cut (two of them 24" dia), removed, processed, stumps ground and the yard raked in less than 3 hours. I think the yard was cleaner when they left than when they arrived.
One side comment. In talking to the crew leader, I learned the crews are subject to drug testing. That gave me some added relief knowing none of those guys was under the influence while operating heavy equipment. The crew was extremely professional - no chainsaw wielding Neanderthals, much to my relief.
Bottom line, if you're needing trees removed, this is the company to go with. If you need trees trimmed, maybe check others for their price. Highly recommended and when I save up enough money, I have my eye on a couple more trees that can be cut.

Great experience.  I left for work at 8, Joel told me they would be there even though it was raining.  I came home for lunch at 1:30, the trees were down, no evidence that they were ever.  Everything cleaned up, no debris on the roof or in the yard.
