"We live in a 50+ year old brick home. The exterior trim and windows had not been painted in at least 17 years. We had some severe issues with many windows losing their glazing. I did not want to replace all our old windows as is recommended by most contractors. Rony and his crew jumped in and reglazed and painted all 240 window lighrs in our home. They repaired soffit damage, cracked window glass, repainted all wood gables, facia and gutters with great care. The house looks wonderful. We paid less than I expected to just replace all the windows! He was patient with us when we changed colors during the project and was so easy to work with. Yes, you can absolutely paint a wall that has skip trowel texture, but you need to make sure you have the right tools and use the appropriate strategies. While paint drying smoothly on a wall is ideal, a can full of dry paint is not. To open a can of dry paint, you’ll need a tool with a sharp edge, such as a utility knife or a box cutter. Take your tool and score the area where the lid meets the can to break through the dried-up paint. Then, use a paint can opener or a flathead screwdriver to pry the lid open and check the state of the contents. For smaller cans with plastic lids, you can run the top under hot water to loosen the lid. 

New plaster must be fully dry and cured before painting. The drying time for plaster ranges from 1 to 4 hours, but the curing process can take more than five days, depending on various factors, including humidity levels, temperature, the amount of plaster used, and airflow in the area. You should always apply primer before painting plaster.

When done correctly, a roller or paint sprayer can be used to paint stucco. Rolling paint works well on smaller projects, while a sprayer is more efficient for larger jobs. With some practice, a homeowner can rent an airless sprayer to paint stucco, but a larger job may be best done by a professional painter. Smaller areas are more manageable for the DIY homeowner.

You don’t have to sand between primer coats. However, if you’d like, you may lightly sand your last coat to ensure a smooth surface before you apply the paint color.
