Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. " I assume the clean was ok, but havent used them over the summer, so will know better as the winter sets in. He inspected all the chimneys and gave me a long tale of woe about how bad they are and how they need lots of attention.
He ended the visit by giving me a quote for $13,225 for a whole ton of work.
Since then I've contracted for chimney caps to be made and installed by my regular contractor for $1500.
Although the cost of the 2 sweeps was good (although by no means a huge bargain) I found with this and another special I bought through Angies List (for HVAC work) that the "inspection" is really a chance to plug for a while load of work i dont really need. i dont think i'll bother with them again
