Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "We began with 3/4s of an acre of red Georgia clay sloping down toward a lake. Byrd and Rebecca provided all the creative ideas we needed to make this property special--retaining wall, drainage, rock garden, flagstone patio and stone paths, paver driveway, sod, and perfect plantings. The work took a number of weeks--Carlos and his crew worked long days and each step was done meticulously and professionally--and the result is stunning. We cannot say enough good things about the work done here and we highly recommend Byrd Landscaping and Design."

"Darrell stopped by yesterday, to see what my yard drainage problem was. We talked and he suggested a plan that would stop the water from standing in my yard. Darrell and his workers were here today, they worked so hard and they did an amazing job. I’ll definitely call him again when I want another part of my yard look better. He has so many great ideas and has the ability to get the job done with total customer satisfaction."

"Georgis Best Concrete, LLC completely replaced my driveway, sidewalk and front steps yesterday. Their work is absolute perfection! Chris Tamayo (owner) explained clearly what would be done and quoted a great price for complete removal and replacement of an old driveway, sidewalk and front steps. The team he sent was amazing - they are professional and definitely expert at concrete installation. Every team member worked carefully and diligently to compete the job. Chris was here working with them to inspect and approve the installation. I could not be happier with my new driveway, sidewalk and steps!! If you need any concrete work done I highly recommend Georgia Best Concrete, LLC!!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Gravel is the most economical and least expensive driveway material, costing between $1 and $3 per square foot. This is significantly cheaper than alternatives like asphalt or concrete. However, it's important to consider long-term costs, as gravel driveways require regular maintenance. You will likely need to add new gravel filling once or twice a year and regularly rake it to keep it level, which can add to the overall cost over time.

There’s no single best asphalt grade—it all comes down to where and how it’s used. Highways and heavy-traffic roads need something tough, like polymer-modified asphalt (PMA) or Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA). Local roads and parking lots rely on the Performance Graded (PG) system, chosen based on climate. A PG 64-28 mix, for example, handles a broad temperature range while simpler, more cost-effective mixes are typically enough for residential driveways. The best grade of asphalt depends on traffic, weather, and your budget, which is why a professional’s input is always a smart move before making a decision.

You can expect your asphalt pavement to last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, or 25 years on average. The life expectancy of your asphalt driveway depends on the climate, the amount of traffic, and how well you maintain it. While you can’t necessarily control some of these factors, you can control the amount of maintenance effort you put into your driveway.

To prevent your asphalt from deteriorating prematurely, you should follow a good maintenance routine involving regular cleaning, reparation work, and resealing.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.
