"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"In short, these movers are honest, professional, and reliable. They help you and gave you the best service in the town. I never thought I will be this impressed with these movers. The crew who visited me on the day of move helped me with everything during the move. I recommend the movers to all. They are great."

"Working with Michael to set up the two moves with terrific. My problems came from the actual movers. The first movers dropped a heavy piece and damaged it. This group to our items to a location where they were transferred to another group to finish the move. More damage happened. The second move was done by a different group who picked up our things and delivered them. Again some damage. My problem with the second move was with the claim department at National Van Lines. I was overly careful about the damages I claimed (only submitting the largest items or easiest to replace), but had to negotiate to get a fair deal. BUT NVL did set me up with a great guy who could fix most of the damaged items."

"recently moved from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas, TX, and I had a great experience from start to finish. The team was professional, reliable, and made the entire moving process feel smooth and stress-free. They handled everything with care, communicated well, and made sure my belongings arrived safely. Moving out of state can be overwhelming, but they made it so much easier. I truly appreciate their hard work and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy moving company."

"Couldn?t have asked for a better experience! Hired Goodview Moving and Storage crew to help move some furniture. It wasn?t a full move ? just a few heavy items ? but they treated it seriously and didn?t rush. They even called to confirm a few details before heading out. Loved how the experience turned out!"

"The movers were great. They arrived on time for the pick-up and loaded the truck in a relative short period of time. They arrived in Charlotte a short time after my family did, and went straight to unload the truck. All the boxes and furniture arrived in tact; nothing was broken. They also assembled the bed and couple of pieces of furniture for us. I called Bill Thomas and thanked him for his team treating my wife and daughter in a professional manner as I was not able to be there for the move. I would definitely use them again for another state to state move. We live in the New York City tri-state area and were glad to find someone reputable to move our daughter to from GA to NC. We definitely recommend this company's services."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Choosing a reliable moving company is critical because you’re entrusting all of your belongings to the professional movers, so you’ll want to make sure you consider the following:

  • The experience of the movers and the number of years in the industry

  • The add-on services provided, like packing and storage

  • The warranty or insurance coverage to protect your belongings

We also recommend confirming that the movers are properly licensed using Angi’s state licensing tool. You can check for certification from organizations like the American Moving and Storage Association.

If you’re moving other large items that require professional help, you should consider having movers assist you with those as well—especially if they can fit in the same moving truck together. Consider bundling the move with large items like a piano, safe, or large pieces of furniture.

Focus on decluttering when downsizing to move cross-country. Selling, donating, or recycling unwanted items early in your moving process is key to your success. If you are on the fence about some items, consider storage options, or you can ship these items separately to lessen your load.

It is helpful for safety reasons to pack knives in their own box and clearly label them. This way, movers can take extra caution when moving these boxes and pack them in the moving truck accordingly. Plus, it will remind you to use extra caution when unpacking that box in your new kitchen.

The best way to pack mirrors is to use specially padded cartons or boxes made for mirrors. Be sure to thoroughly wrap the fragile mirror in padded paper or bubble wrap before sliding it into its box. That way, there’s a protective barrier in between the mirror and the box. Then, fill in any gaps with crumpled paper or additional packing materials.
