Customers say: Terrific value

"I can?t say enough about Strickland Pools! They were the 4th pool company I called after Helene wrecked my pool. And the ONLY one who did what they promised they would do when they promised they?d do it. They showed up and exceeded my expectations and I am grateful for their professionalism and attention to detail. If you need ANY pool work please call them. I am a brand ambassador! Thank you to the entire Strickland team for restoring my pool! 10/10 recommend!"

"Quick response. Replaced my sand filter for my pool. Very professional. Went above and beyond. Found other issues and made those repairs, as well. Hired to maintain pool. I receive an email of pool service report each visit. I have used other pool companies and have not been satisfied. I was extremely impressed with Legacy Pools and relieved that I was finally able to find a reputable company. Aaron is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain issues that I have with my pool. I would highly recommend Legacy Pools."

"They only charge a flat rate for any basic service so if the AC goes out i call them and they charge a flat rate to service it. If it has to be replaced they pay up to a certain amount and if it goes over i pay a prorated fee."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

You should drain your hot tub three to four times a year to give it a thorough cleaning. This should take about an hour, but it depends on the size of your tub.

Yes, air baths are good for you. They promote relaxation, improve circulation, and can even hydrate your skin. Since they’re gentler than water jets and whirlpools, they are a good choice for a wide range of homes and users, from children to adults. You can maximize the benefits by using them regularly for stress relief and by pairing the bubble effects with calming music, low lighting or chronotherapy, aromatherapy, and other relaxation techniques.

Most hot tub motors can last between five and 10 years; however, hot tub motors can burn out sooner if the hot tub water is not maintained or if the motors themselves are not maintained or protected from the elements. Since hot tub motors (also referred to as spa pumps) power the jets and circulate the water, they are important for the functioning of your spa. Buying a quality motor, keeping the hot tub filter clean, and keeping the wet end of the motor wet and the dry end dry can help them last longer.

Many people find saltwater tubs worth the upfront expense. They cost less to maintain than traditional hot tubs, so you can save in the long term. Maintenance is also easier, typically involving balancing the pH and cleaning the tub rather than adding chemicals. They’re also gentler on sensitive skin, and you won’t walk away with a strong chlorine odor.

When your hot tub is not in use, you can keep it at a constant soaking temperature of around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. For extended periods of non-use, you can lower the temperature by about five degrees. This slight decrease makes it easier and quicker to heat back up to a desirable level when you're ready to use it again. Additionally, you might consider lowering the temperature by a couple of degrees during the summer to avoid feeling overheated.
