"After our in ground pool was put in, I hired Estrada Lawn and Irrigation to install a sprinkler system in the front and back yards. Lay paver walkways on each end of the pool to leading to the house and sod the entire back yard. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the results and quality of the work that was done. We also hired them to do our routine lawn care throughout the growing season and during the non growing season. Roe and his crew do an outstanding job. I am very pleased with all of the work that they do for us. I encourage you to give them a call for any and all of your lawn, irrigation and landscape needs. You won't be disappointed."

"He has been working for me for a year now and I couldn't be more pleased. He does as well as if we did it ourselves. They go above and beyond and have done things I have never been able to get other companies to do for me. He is reasonably priced. He is a very honest and fair man. I have referred him many times."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

If you don’t remove a bush properly, it’ll come back each year. Removing the root system entirely is the only way to ensure the plant doesn’t have a chance to grow back. You can also use natural weed killers or you can choose to suppress the area with landscaping fabric. Additionally, consider planting alternative, non-invasive vegetation to deter the return of thorn bushes.

Pruning bushes will encourage new growth and flowering and keep them hardy. Removing dead and diseased branches is vital to your bush's health. It can also deter pests from infesting your bushes. Not only is it beneficial to the bushes, trimming and shaping them will make your lawn look lush and polished.

Dormant seasons like fall and winter are the best times to dig up plants, including holly bushes. Plants aren’t growing during these seasons, so the removal process goes a lot quicker. Consider hiring a landscaping team to handle holly bush removal during the cold-weather months for off-season pricing deals, too.

Yes, rotting leaves can be good for your soil. The decaying leaves release nutrients into the soil that can boost the health of your plants, and the organic matter also helps improve airflow and water drainage.

It’s possible to over-mulch leaves. If the leaf mulch is thick enough that it’s blocking and smothering the grass, that’s a problem. Ideally, you should still be able to see the grass when you’re done mulching to ensure its ability to continue growing. The solution is to make another pass at the top layer of leaf mulch to collect some of the top layer.
