"Carl, the plumber, was prompt and extremely cordial. He took the time to explain what he was doing and how to avoid repeat problems. He also took the time to check out what we thought might have been another plumbing problem, and made suggestions of things to do to avoid the plumbing problems which can occur as a building ages.
He cleared the kitchen drain, ran enough water several times to makes sure that it was draining properly, and left the area clean and dry. As an aside, in chatting with him he explained some of the factors that go into the costs of plumbing and why the service charges can result in high "sticker shock". While that does not necessarily reduce the impact of plumbing cost, I very much appreciated that he took a few minutes to provide me with a perspective I had not considered.
As I have other plumbing work that will need to be done in the near future I will certainly give these guys first crack at the job. And with the discount provided by the Angie's list promotion I got away with a fraction of what I had feared the call would cost. In all, I am exceedingly happy with American Service Specialists.

"David and helper Josiah (training and soon to be expert!) were very professional and friendly. They came out to give an estimate for removing tank water heater and installing tankless electric water heater. David was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my many questions. The estimate was detailed and explained perfectly. They showed up on time, did a perfect job and left the area perfectly clean. David explained to me how everything worked and again, answered all my questions. "Had a problem in the guest bathroom the commode was leaking which caused a leak in our basement. We installed a pail to catch the water and called Mr. Clean Drain Plumbing Inc. right away. Arlie and Frankie showed up within a day and solved the problem immediately. While here we also had them fix a leak in the tubing for the hot water tank. "Very professional and knowledgeable. The worker answered all my questions very well. Noted problems with some of my plumbing and fixed some of these problems. Also, explained to me how I could inexpensively fix some problems myself. Very pleased with the service. Did not clean up as well as I would have liked or endeavor to prevent debris getting to my carpet from his shoes. However, did not leave any major debris and followed my request to wipe his feet on mat I provided. It's only fair to admit that I am an especially neat person and was able to clear up minor amount of dirt and small work particles vacuuming for about 5 minutes."
