"This was partially my mistake, but I ended up paying for a garbage disposal I did not need. Not until the new disposal was installed did the installer test to find out that the problem was not with the disposal itself, but with the wall switch to turn it on. So I spent $299 for a new disposal that I didn't need. It was my mistake, I guess, because I didn't realize that it could be something else and I prepaid for the new disposal. But learn from my mistake...before you pay for something, you should really check and confirm the cause of the problem. Don't assume that the company you hire will do that automatically. I assumed they would clue me in to what else the problem could be or at least ask what the problem was before installing this. Live and learn... Would I hire them again? Yes, but only knowing that I can't assume that they will do the diagnosis prior to repair or replace. Also, when they called to confirm the appointment, the man who called told me there would be an additional dispatch fee...when i told him that the service was portrayed as all inclusive on Angie's List, and to talk to the owner...he came back and told me they would wave the fee. So again, the customer must really be on his/her toes and object to hidden fees."

I had them out later for an unrelated leak, and again it was completed in a very timely manner at a reasonable price. The technician Brian had to crawl around in my very tight 1965 crawl space and was super friendly and competent both times. I will definitely use them again if I have any plumbing issues. "Had a problem in the guest bathroom the commode was leaking which caused a leak in our basement. We installed a pail to catch the water and called Mr. Clean Drain Plumbing Inc. right away. Arlie and Frankie showed up within a day and solved the problem immediately. While here we also had them fix a leak in the tubing for the hot water tank. "Overall, it was a good experience. AAA put down a vapor barrier and installed a Santa Fe dehumidifier with sump pump. The result is that we can now use the stand-up basement/crawlspace to store things under the house without ruining them. This is the part that you need to know. The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."

"I have done a number of renovations over the last 2 yrs to my fixer upper condo and was now ready to tackle the Master bathroom renovation. I got 8 estimates before deciding on G and D Construction. This decision was based on my comfort level when 1st meeting Paul as well as the ‘detailed’ and fair estimate he provided. He was very patient in answering all my questions prior to starting the project and always responded to my messages very timely. My bathroom is approximately 30 yrs old and once the walls were down, there were some additional expenses which Paul reviewed with me and made sure I understood and agreed to the additional costs. My renovation included installing a new whirlpool tub with a heater, new shower, floor and toilet. Although I thought I had a perfect design, the MTI oval bathtub I had purchased was too large for my original design. I thought I was going to have to purchase another tub, but Paul assured me we would work it out. Paul and John suggested another design option which I liked much better than my original design and it also enabled me to have a larger shower. Paul and John were punctual each morning and Paul made sure I was updated at the beginning and end of each day. We worked thru all obstacles together and he was more than willing to comply with my every wish. Each member of his team was a pleasure to work with. Although it took a little longer than expected (2 wks vs 1 wk) and my house is very dusty, I am in love with my new bathroom!! The look exceeds my expectation. In a couple of months, I want Paul to renovate my second bathroom. I wish I had known him 2 years ago when I started my renovations. If you want an honest, dependable, detailed and experienced contractor, give GandD a call. This is the longest review I’ve ever done (LOL), but it is so deserving."
