"TCQ Paving did a phenomenal job in taking care of our recent paving project. This project involved adjusting the grade on a very mismanaged road and paving it. It also involved paving two new construction driveways. TCQ Paving arrived on time and completed the work in the amount of time that they had told us. The finish was phenomenal and the level of customer service and quality of work were top-notch. "requested an in-person quote for job. they said they had a drone site review and new what to do. so it seemed like a bait and switch for the quote. they only addressed part of the job and then added extra charge for crack filling. however I am satisfied but would have liked the whole job done as requested."

I have been in the industry now for 20 plus years under the names Shook Lawn Maintenance and PamScapes LLC. Those 2 companies were ran and owned by my mom, Pam Shook. Permeable paving is a good option for a lot of reasons. It can help prevent flooding, keeps harmful chemicals from polluting our water, and can divert water away from your home’s foundation. Plus, it can add a rustic aesthetic to your outdoor area, might prevent pests who breed in water, and may even qualify for tax rebates.

While it may be less expensive initially to lay concrete vs. pavers, the long-term expenses that come with repairing concrete may prove to be less cost-friendly than simply replacing a few damaged pavers. On top of that, stamped concrete may only last for 25 years compared to pavers, which can last over 50 years.

Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below. Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.
