"Luke was amazing. He gave us a quick quote that was reasonable. He started and worked when he said he would. He kept us updated and sent pictures afterward. The quality of his work was excellent. I was so pleased with his work. He went above and beyond by doing a couple extra things for us as we were out of state. I would and will recommend him to anyone looking for a professional quality painter!"
After.. what an amazing difference!

"Thaddeus is a fine young man, professional and courteous. He and his crew (Cory, Julio, and I did not get the other gentleman's name) arrived on time and completed 2 bedrooms, a vanity area, hallway, foyer and all the doors in one day. Primed and painted walls and trim. I was extremely pleased with their performance and they showed extreme respect for the furniture they moved. They were constantly ensuring the area was kept clean and at the end of the day they were able to pack up in minutes. I have a 'large' Doberman and she was in the house....made them a little nervous at first but they kinda got used to her, we kept her gated away from them and Cory kept checking to make sure she was still inside the gate! LOL! I would "HIGHLY" recommend Thaddeus and his company and intend to use them again when it's time to paint the rest of the house. I am also discussing some remodeling projects with him."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.

Ideally, it's best to stain your dock once per year. Applying stain doesn't just keep it looking nice and new; it also helps extend the dock’s lifespan. Since you want to ensure water levels are at their lowest, it's best to have this project done by a professional dock repair service in the cooler autumn or early winter months.

It is not always necessary to remove old stain before restaining a deck. If the previous stain is in good condition and is compatible with the new stain, you may be able to apply a new coat after thorough cleaning. However, if the old stain is in bad condition, flaking, or peeling, it is best to remove it completely to ensure an even surface and proper adhesion for the new coat. Staining over a damaged layer can lead to an uneven finish and poor penetration. For best results, test a small area first and consult the stain manufacturer's guidelines.

To make sure the paint won’t bubble as you apply it, make sure to paint on a day that’s cooler than 85 degrees Fahrenheit. When the temperature is too high, the paint won’t dry evenly, which can result in bubbles forming on the surface. Another way to prevent paint from bubbling is to clean the walls, apply primer, and let everything dry completely before you begin.

Satin paint is generally considered a better choice for woodwork—including trim, baseboards, cabinets, and doors—than flatter finishes like eggshell or matte. Its soft sheen enhances architectural details and stands up well to frequent cleaning and daily wear. Compared to eggshell and matte finishes, satin is more durable for high-touch areas because it is less porous and doesn't absorb dirt as easily. Matte finishes, in particular, are prone to scuffs and are harder to clean, making them less practical for surfaces like doors and cabinets.
