"I was so impressed with the work I had done the first time with Chris that I already used him again and was more impressed the second time. He was straight forward with me on the entire process which really helped me understand more. He not only removed all tue rodents from my storage unit that I have battled with for year but he also sealed everything up so well that I haven’t seen anymore. I called him again for a raccoon issue I had and he actually safely and humanely and successfully removed 3 raccoons. Wow I only knew about one. I can’t say enough about how responsive, honest, caring and informative Chris was each time. I will definitely call on him with my next issue and I encourage everyone to give him a try."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

No single deterrent will work 100 percent of the time, so we suggest combining deterrents to ensure your seed has the best possible chance to grow. Using bird netting over your seed, with physical deterrents like mylar tape coupled with hanging bird feeders at the edges of your growing area—and removing any bird’s nests, if possible—will give your seeds the best possible chance for success.

Pest control measures for bird and bat issues typically last from several weeks to months, depending on the effectiveness of the implemented solutions and the return of conducive conditions.

Finding a dead bat in your home can be frightening, even during spooky season. The United States Department of Interior states that if you find a dead bat, take these steps:

  • Contact your state wildlife agency to report the finding

  • Photograph the bat safely to help the wildlife agency determine the species

  • Use disposable gloves to place the bat into a plastic bag, making sure to spray with disinfectant and close the bag securely

  • Thoroughly clean your hands and any clothing that came into contact with the bat

If you see one dead bat, you might have a large bat infestation that needs to be treated immediately. Call a local pest control company to properly inspect your home for other bats.

The cost for bird and bat control services typically ranges from $300 to $1,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the size and severity of the infestation, the specific removal method used, and the complexity of accessing the affected areas.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.
