"I hired Daniel Wolfgang to replace the heater and circuit boards on my hot tub. He arrived on time with all the parts needed and did excellent work with extensive subject matter expertise. The price was quite reasonable and I would recommend Mr. Wolfgang to any homeowner that needs repair work done on their hot tub. All local hot tub companies in Newton County Georgia would not send anyone to replace the circuit board and heater, but Daniel Wolfgang used the photographs of the parts I sent and ordered what he needed. The work was completed in about an hour and a half and we are very pleased."

"5 star service. I have cleaned my own pool for years and didn't think I could afford to hire someone. Due to a back injury I had no choice. I hired Pool 45 and I wish I had done so years ago. From the start Demetrius was very professional and courteous over the phone. He arrived on time and called to let me know 1/2 hour in advance he was on the way. Demetrius did all he said and more. He cleaned my patio, added the necessary chemicals and took his time to make sure the job was done right at a price that made me feel stupid for ever cleaning my pool myself. "This 'deal' was for two hours electrical work for x$. Upon starting with the fan he advised me that a fan install usually took him about one hour. Upon completion, he took the basement door fixture downstairs and returned shortly, telling me that we'd have to pay for another hour (at $92 per hour) if he was to do the installation at the basement door. Well, what was I to do but agree to pay the extra charge. My mistake was not accurately charting time of arrival etc. The service tech was on time and very (maybe too) talkative. My only complaint is, I feel that both jobs could have been completed within the 2-hour "deal" time."

"I hired this contractor through Thumbtack specifically to repair a pool leak. He told me the leak was inside the pool, even though another licensed pool company had already confirmed the issue was at the pump and outside the pool. I relied on his assessment and agreed to an $8,000 repair and pebble upgrade with the understanding the pool would be repaired. After the work was completed, the pool continued to drain exactly as before. He then claimed his work only fixed ?one problem,? which was never disclosed prior to payment. I spent an additional $800 to refill the pool, $250 in water costs, and $2,500 to rehire the original company, who confirmed the pump was the issue all along. I requested a refund. He refused and has stopped responding, including to my attorney. I had a $600 problem and he got me for $8000!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
