"Kerry Greaves and Kaylin Ellis, owner and technician respectively, were outstanding professionals with whom to work. They refinished our dining room table and now it’s as good as new. I recommend them 100%! Mary & Lance Cunha, Johns Creek, GA"

"Alex and Kaylon were amazing! The piece was in bad shape and we didn't have high expectations of what it would look like when it was done. Kaylon is very talented at furniture restoration and seemed to genuinely enjoy this project. They both kept in touch with progress updates and photos and even sent us the original manufacturer date when they found it. The final result far exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier. I would absolutely use them again to repair and refinish any piece, but they've definitely earned my trust with sentimental antiques or family heirloom peices. The before and after photos don't do it justice. There were doors and drawers that wouldn't open, cracked, peeling, and missing veneer...it had sat in non-climate controlled storage for probably 20 years or more. We're soooo happy with how it turned out. Thank you Kaylon!!!"

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

Although it’s not standard, many upholstery professionals offer warranties on their workmanship, typically ranging from six months to several years. However, most warranties don't cover normal wear and tear, damage from spills and other accidents, or problems with the original furniture frame. Before starting your project, be sure to ask about warranty terms, what is covered, and any exclusions.

Yes, many custom builders offer finishing and upholstery options tailored to your style.

You can make your dining room look more expensive using one or more of several methods. If you're remodeling, you can consider raising the ceiling height, installing an elegant chandelier, or redoing the floor. For smaller renovations, consider changing the paint color to a deep and rich tone, such as burgundy or emerald. You can also swap out the table and chairs to achieve a richer appearance.

Reupholstering is often worthwhile for high-quality, antique, or sentimental couches, especially if the frame is sturdy. It can cost less than buying a comparable new piece and allows for customization, but may not be cost-effective for low-end furniture.

If your usually super soft couch feels crusty and rough after cleaning, it could be that you haven’t removed the cleaning product properly, you used too much, or you applied the wrong type. Always check the couch tags to select the right cleaning product, read application instructions carefully, and test on an inconspicuous corner. For fabrics such as microfiber, you can soften and fluff crusty fibers using a soft-bristled brush.
