"Make A Choice was challenged with a huge job on our 39 year old house and met it with fantastic quality work, service and skills. Our job involved rebuilding our entire siding chimney, replacing much siding and rotted work, reworking and painting soffits, new gutters, putting on leaf guards, misc. exterior repairs, rebuilding our front porch railings and painting the entire house. We were absolutely thrilled to see the A+ job they did, sticking to their bid, working quickly and with very skilled workers (best painting I've ever had). Chuck, our job manager, was on top of everything - he quickly made any requested changes or corretions, and was very knowledgable about all aspects of home construction. The owner was always there when the city came to inspect for permits, and the house was built to all the codes. We are not used to having such perfect work from uncomplaining constructions folks! "We hired Dixon because the Angie's list reviews, which  were good, interestingly.  We needed our new, custom replacement windows painted the right way so we wouldn't have to deal with replacements again, so we paid top dollar to a "professional" painter, rather than the independent guys who put flyers in our box, and often do a great job.  We  decided it was time to paint the outside too.  The Dixon painters were so bad.  I had to point out to one that he had to remove the divided light grills from the new widows to paint.   He was painting around them.  Someone translated for me, and I was told that it was too hard to take them out.  Unbelievable!!!!  The window replacement guys had no trouble getting the grills in and out.  Dixon dripped paint all down three of our plantation shutters, which I didn't find until it had dried .They didn't paint the underside of any of the new sills, which were installed primed, so the white was hard to miss.  We asked them to check all woodwork, and replace any rotting pieces.  They didn't find at least 5 places that we ended up replacing and repainting within 6 months of them working on our home.  (We never called Dixon about it because my husband didn't want them back at our house.) They painted right over the rust on the iron rails on the porch with no prep at all, and dripped black paint on our brick steps and porch.  I literally had to walk around the entire work site the whole time they were here to oversee and point out things they had missed or spilled.  The painting was so bad and incomplete and unprofessional that it made me wonder if they had picked up day labor on the way to my house.  I will call the independent guy from the mailbox flyer next time.  He does a much more careful, professional job than Dixon.

"Not only did Topstar Renovations remove and replace my siding, they completly remodeled the entire exterior of my home and I couldn't be happier with their work. The showed up on time everyday, and completed the job faster than I could have imagined. They addressed all my questions and helped me select materials and design changes. They removed and replaced the old roof and installed gutters. Removed and replaced the old cedar siding and replaced it with new paintable materials that will last much longer and are much easier to maintain. They also sourced and installed the stone for the bottom half. They even detailed my older window frames to match! Besides the awesome new look, perhaps best part was that they had provided a written estimate which they stuck to. The total cost of the job was well within reason and in fact, much less than I expected.. I highly recommend them for your home projects."

"I did not give 5s only because I donâ t think anyone or anything is perfect. However, I think Chris and his second did an excellent job. They worked on removing four rows of vertical cedar siding and installed four new vertical rows of cedar siding. This job was done in a corner where two external walls meet forming a 90 degree angle. They caulked where appropriate and stained the newly installed siding to match the rest of the siding. Their finished work blended in perfectly with the rest of the siding. The work was performed with precision and it was obvious that Chris paid attention to detail in completing the job. I am very pleased in the finished product. I told Chris that I am will be contacting him when I need renovation/repairs done in the future."
