"Arrindells Family Farm Tree Removal is an excellent company to hire. I had a very difficult situation (a large tree with long, large branches situated in a very narrow area) that Sheldon and his team handled perfectly. This was a large oak tree that had a larger pine tree right next to it and was surrounded by fencing on both sides. Arrindell team monitored the situation and meticulously began work removing the long branches with extreme care, avoiding damaging the surrounding fences piece by piece. Sheldon and his team cleaned up afterward, removing all debris and making the area look amazing. Arrindell family farm offers honest, fair pricing. Sheldon and his team work continuously until the project is completed. This one kept them out there until 10:45 pm! I highly recommend Arrindell Family Farm for all your tree removal services. They were punctual, communicative, keeping me updated, and in the loop throughout the process. Sheldon and his team were amazing, very kind, courteous, efficient, professional, and enthusiastic. They work very hard and enjoy a challenge. Regardless of your project, check them out to see if they can help. You will not be disappointed."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

It depends on the current health of your lawn. Liquid aeration takes longer to work, but the results are longer lasting. Since you can apply the liquid solution several times during the course of the growing season, the results are cumulative. Core aeration, on the other hand, will offer quicker benefits but they will diminish sooner, right along with the soil plugs left behind.

There are a few ways to fix your lawn on a budget, including:

  • Identify the lawn care problem and learn how to seed, fertilize, and aerate your lawn.

  • Reseed old, damaged lawn with new grass that fares better in your environment.

  • Remove grass from your yard so you no longer need to worry about lawn care costs.

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. Turn the compost over every few days. This process, called aerating, allows oxygen to get in and accelerate decomposition.

The frequency of lawn aeration depends on various factors such as soil type, grass variety, and lawn usage. In most cases, aerating once a year, typically in the fall or early spring, is sufficient to maintain a healthy lawn. However, lawns subject to heavy foot traffic or especially compacted soil may benefit from more frequent aeration, possibly every six months. It's essential to assess your lawn's specific needs and consult with a lawn care professional if you're unsure about the ideal aeration schedule for your property.

While dethatching first often makes the aeration process faster and easier, both actions can be done on the same day. Aeration can also loosen up the thatch, even if you have a harder time aerating the soil because the thatch got too thick. Because both dethatching and aeration have the common goal of making it easier for the soil to get water and nutrients, it’s safe and possible to do both at the same time.
