"Ron came by soon after I requested an estimate. He was very efficient, came at the time we agreed upon, and offered options as to how to best do the job which was to repair my driveway pavers and refresh the driveway, walkway, and lanai pavers. Ron and his son worked efficiently to restore the pavers with an end result with them looking better than new. I would highly recommend this team as they did a wonderful job plus stayed within the original estimate. Ron works in other surfaces as well and will be returning here for another task of sealing a tiled shower. He is a man of many skills."

The most obvious disadvantage of permeable paving is that the cost is typically higher compared to non-permeable concrete, pavers, or asphalt methods. Three inches is a great thickness for a residential asphalt driveway that sees minimal to moderate traffic from cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks. However, a thicker driveway can better withstand the weight of a heavier vehicle, such as a trailer or a recreational vehicle. If you drive a heavy vehicle on a thin driveway, you risk cracking and damaging it.

Think of the street as a way to capture all the elements on either side of the road, including the road—a street encompasses the homes or other buildings, the trees, and the road of a given area as defined by the beginning and end of the street on a map. A roadway, however, is the component of the street where cars travel.

You can contact your building department or ask your paving company if you need a permit. Your driveway professional will usually pull the permit for you.
