"Beware of Jim Rooney! This guy is a disrespectful, dishonest, disloyal, greedy, shady, animalistic person. I am a drywall sub contractor. I found a General Contractor named Palmetto Construction services who was offering me a project at the Social security office to remove wallpaper and skim walls for paint so I needed help on the take off and bidding the job and ask Jim Rooneynto help me do that. He then went and took my job and also the paint. I asked him to let me see the contract but made up an excuse. He ended up making a fake contract so that when I ask him again he would show me. Palmetto told me that it was 10,000 to 15,000 sqft which it was a lie, it was really a 27,000 job. Jim told me that "Don" the project manager from Palmetto said that he was glad that he will be dealing with him instead of me and Jim also told me that the only reason Don wanted to do business with me is because he thought of me as cheap labor. I pay taxes on my business just like him and have a $2,000,000 policy just like him. He basically stole a job that he is getting between $300,000 to $400,000 on it and wanted to pay me and the painters cents for it. Guys because careful with this guy he is bad business. He's a car salesman Don't get fooled with his fake laugh and soft talk only when he wants something from you. He is white thug that happens to be good at tricking people. I got screwed really good but I have to keep on fighting for success. I just want to warn you guys about this guy before you want to do business with him. I have copies of the fake contract if anyone wants me to show proof too."

We offer services that encompass your entire home.No job is too small, depending on distance and the scope of the work to be done. We take pride in doing quality work in a timely fashion. Our goal is to save the consumer as much money as possible, without compromising our ethics or crafstmanship. Ron has over 25 years of experience, and is directly involved in every project, no matter the size. References are available on request. For protection of both parties, once a quote is recieved by consumer, they have 30 days to initiate their project; this is neccessary due to the fact that material costs fluctuate rapidly. Upon agreement, there will be a payment due for an amount agreed upon by both parties determined by the amount of materials needed to begin project. We will never be ahead of you on monies dispursed. That is, we will only recieve monies neccessary to keep the work flowing. There are many variables in payment/scheduleing, which we will work out in order to not overburden the consumer, as well as our workers, and to reach our end-date on time. Payment types are flexable i.e. cash, credit, or check. this will be determined upon contract signing. Commonly, there is an initial payment due the week prior to the day of project start date. This payment will be determined by the amount of materials, and any incidentals needed. Materials for smaller jobs are sometimes covered by us, and included in the cost of project upon completion. Jobs that take one day or less, should be paid in full upon completion of work. In the event that "unseen" repairs or damages occur, the consumer will be responsible for any materials needed. Many times, depending on the circumstances and the amount of work needed, the consumer may not be charged any additional labor costs. We are not out to make large amounts of money on any one job. Our aim is to have the consumer use our services repeatedly. And, pass our name along to others. We also offer discounted prices on installations of handicap accessability aids, i.e. hand rails, ramps, etc.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

The average cost to hire a professional wallpaper hanger is around $575 per room, but it’s not uncommon to see prices range from $175 to $1,400 or more for a single room. Your total project cost depends on the wallpaper quality, room type and size, and whether you must remove old wallpaper. Since room size is one of the most significant cost factors, you can use a price between $1 and $7 per square foot to estimate your wallpapering labor cost.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.

Common mistakes when finishing basement walls include neglecting proper insulation, insufficient moisture management, and poor ventilation. Not addressing these issues can lead to mold growth, water damage, and discomfort. Additionally, inadequate planning, improper framing, and rushing the project can result in subpar outcomes.

It's essential to follow best practices, seek professional guidance if needed, and prioritize thoroughness and attention to detail.

If you prefer peel-and-stick to traditional wallpaper, you can skip the priming process. Many manufacturers don't require an additional primer if you’re installing peel-and-stick wallpaper to painted walls. However, if you’re applying peel-and-stick wallpaper to unfinished drywall, you’ll need to apply a primer first.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.
