"If you are looking for someone to paint your house you can go anywhere, BUT if you want your house to stand out above the rest go to CARA PVD Painting-Venetian-Decorating INC. This business and the owner work WITH you. They don't push anything on you. Jimmy will give you advice and if you pay attention you will realize that the man knows what he is talking about. I just expected to get my house painted like any other time, but this was an entirely different experience. I'm so proud of my home and the way it looks. The quality and the professionalism that created the look I never knew I could have. I cannot stress enough how experienced this company is. He will give you options and will deliver everything you need and more. Say goodbye to your search and give them a call. He will come and walk you through options and prices with no hard sell. I highly recommend. The prices are absolutely fair. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

Small jobs welcome

"I am writing to share my positive experience with Scott from Build Lab Studio LLC, who recently completed a couple of projects for me. Scott provided a detailed quote, was punctual, and maintained a high level of professionalism from beginning to end. The work involved removing a vent and filling it in to match the outside stucco, as well as reinstalling a two-piece marble door sill. I am very happy with both the price and the quality of the completed job. I will definitely call on Scott for future projects and highly recommend his services."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Wallpaper in bathrooms can last anywhere from one to 10 years, depending on what type was used, how well it was installed, and the measures in place to reduce moisture and humidity levels. Opting for a more durable variety and taking all the necessary protective measures will get you closer to that longer lifespan.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

Having dated, peeling, or otherwise damaged wallpaper can decrease the value of your property, so removing that before listing your house is nearly always a good idea; however, since wallpaper tends to be a personal style choice, potential buyers may or may not love your aesthetic as much as you do.

Love the look of wallpaper but want to consider property value as well? Stick with something that is easy to change. If you are thinking of selling soon, make sure your wallpaper hanging is on-point and looks professional with no crooked seams, evenly matched patterns, and minimal bubbling or other imperfections.

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.
