"Buyer beware!!! See video below --- They will cut corners, upcharge and do really bad work. They damaged all my gutters, left rust stains in the pool and in the driveway, damaged the garage door. Please stop by 5844 nw windy pines lane and ill give you a walk around the house with before and after pictures along with video feed of the halfa## work. They will threaten leans on your house and legal action if you don't pay for their incomplete job. I have an attorney and they are being held accountable. I will share all the legal docs... these guys are really bad and can't work for higher-end consumers. Beware!!! Come see their work first hand. "Brad repaired my roof last July. I paid $1500.00 for him to replace 9 shingles and repair the vent pipe and replace flashing and shingles around the vent. He only replaced the 9 shingles sand just gave the vent pipe a coat of spray paint. Including 2 trips to Lowe's it was a 3-hour job. It's now leaking and rainwater is dripping down the pipe and coming out from under the hvac unit. I have asked 7 times since July for my copy of the invoice showing material and labor costs. Brad has promised to mail it, and he hasn't, promised to email it and he hasn't and lastly said he would run it by my house which he hasn't. In frustration, I told him I would come out to his place and pick up the invoice. I guess that was the final straw for Brad because he has stopped replying. I'm partly to blame. I thought it strange that Brad's Dad gave me the $1500.00 quote without getting on the roof to do an inspection. And, I should have gotten the estimate in writing. I relied on the 5-star reviews on Google and his dad's assurance the job would be done right. I will do better when I hire the next roofer to finish Brad's job!"

Classic Copper Works uses time honored German copper smith techniques handed down from father to son and passed on to our highly skilled artisans. We specialize in the fabrication of custom copper & bronze products and other metal specialties. WE DO NOT OFFER REPAIR SERVICES OF ANY KIND. Additional phone number - (888) 908-5339.

"Ordered and paid for custom awning that was to take 5 weeks. Its now been 16 weeks and still waiting. Owner is at best noncommunicable and at worst, rude. I'm now wondering if this is a scam and not a real business."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Sometimes. Professionals may be able to remove the old roof and re-attach it when completed, depending on your blueprints. That can help you save money. But this method is not without its risks. Larger roofs may crack during the transportation process. And if the roof is old or has problems, it may be better to replace it entirely. Keeping the old roof isn’t always possible if you are making significant alterations to the roofline.

Underlayment is used between existing shingles and a new metal roof to prevent friction and wear from the shingle granules on the underside of the metal. The underlayment also helps prevent water intrusion and allows expansion and contraction without wearing away at the roofing material.

You should plan on waiting as long as it takes for the roof deck to dry out completely if it gets wet. In most cases, this will take about 24 hours, but it could take longer if you have shading on your roof or cloudy weather after the rainfall that prevents the sun from drying the material.

More and more insurance companies are writing torch down applications out of their liability insurance for contractors. If torch down is covered, they generally require a worker to stay on site for two hours after the last flame is extinguished.

For this reason, cold application modified bitumen—also known as “peel and stick”—is becoming more popular, and torch down is decreasing in popularity. Modified bitumen is taking its place, as it uses both hot and cold applications.

The terms “roof sealant” and “roof coating” are used interchangeably to describe the rubber, silicone, polyurethane, or acrylic product applied to the roof’s surface for waterproofing and UV protection. Products like roof caulk can also be called “roof sealant,” but the term is more commonly used for the protective coating.
