"I canâ t say good enough things about this company. Scott came to help us to fix a clog pipe. Even if the pipe had a lot of issues he patiently tried to fix it. For five hours he did his best to fix it. He is one of the most professional person I ever met. I highly recommend him and the company. You wonâ t regret it if you hire them."

"Bud was very courteous, he cleaned up after himself and he was very efficient. He arrived on time, he quoted me a very reasonable price and that is what I paid. Bud was in and out within a hour. I would hire him again. My problem was a clogged kitchen sink. The clog had moved past the house and out toward the city sewer system. The final charge was $225. His initial estimate was $150, but since he had to get on the roof and hoist his 60 lb. electric auger up, it was $75 more. He had to get on the roof to run the snake down the vent pipe and out toward the city sewer system to dislodge the clog. As I said earlier, I would definitely hire him again."

"I am amazed. They showed up thirty minutes after I submitted a request for help on Angi, on a Saturday afternoon nonetheless, to clear a gnarly sink blockage. They were professional, very courteous and efficient. They cleared a drain blockage we had in the kitchen sink and installed a new garbage disposal in quick order. Highly recommended! I will be using them again in the future. Thanks Drain Surgeons"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Baking soda and vinegar aren’t just great for making a volcano for your kid’s science project. You can also pour this dynamic duo down your shower drain to dissolve hair clogs. If that doesn’t do the trick, you can step it up with a commercial liquid drain cleaner.

The best way to unclog a bathtub drain is to pour a pot of boiled water down the drain, being careful not to splash yourself. However, take precautions, as boiling water can damage PVC pipes and joints. Follow up with ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar. Cover the drain with a small sink plunger and let it sit for 15 minutes. Pour boiling water down the drain again and replace the drain stopper.

No, you should avoid using liquid drain cleaners. These chemicals, often packed with sulfuric or hydrochloric acid, can wreak havoc on your pipes, causing erosion and potential leaks. They’re also dangerous to your health. If you’re dealing with a stubborn clog, manual removal or a professional plumber is your best bet. Chemical drain cleaners can often make things worse, especially if the clog stays put and the chemicals linger in your pipes.

Coke and other sodas do clean a clogged drain, so this is one of those urban myths that has some truth behind it. Coke and similar sodas are caustic and will provide some cleaning power to your drains. However, the power of soda pales in comparison to dedicated cleaners or even baking soda.

Preventing water accumulation involves regular inspections, maintaining effective drainage systems, ensuring proper roof maintenance, and taking preventive measures against heavy rainfall or floods.
