"Lightning fast. I had a phone call before Home advisor stopped spinning. David showed up and took care of the clog with nothing more than a plunger. Very professional, super clean, left no mess, very respectful to my family. Amazing."

"

My a/c stopped working due to a clogged condensation drain. The technician was at my home the very next morning, cleared the clog and got the a/c working within 20 minutes. I was so pleased with the professionalism, I asked if they had any kind of semi-annual service that I could sign up for. The technician said that they do offer that service, but I don't need it since my system is new and in good shape and that I would just be wasting my money. All I need for a few more years is an annual check up for just $75 per visit.

As a contrast, a previous a/c service came to my home to clear the drain just a few months before and he DID try to sell me their $200 semi-annual check-up service...even though I didn't really need it.

I've recommended Hurm to several friends who got stuck with broken a/c systems in the heat of the summer, and all have been just as pleased.

"I called 7 plumbers prior to Home Advisor and was told by 5 that no appointments were available for up to two weeks. The others just never returned calls. I went on Home Advisor app and within an hour, Josh was here and my sink was flowing normal. He was professional, courteous, patient and got the job done fast and efficiently and I might add, neatly. The price was more than reasonable fir a job well done in great time. Iâ m recommending him to all my friends."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Vinegar is better for an AC drain line because it’s less corrosive and won’t damage the pipes. It’s also a safer and easier product to use. Bleach should not be used on your AC drain line because it can corrode your pipes and harm the evaporator coil in your air conditioner.

Clogged pipes are one of the top signs your water heater is about to fail. Potential symptoms of excess sediment buildup include not enough hot water, leaks, unusual noises, low water pressure, and discoloration or odors in the water.

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.

Drain pipes carry wastewater from sinks, toilets, showers, and other fixtures to the main sewer line. They’re typically located within the walls and floors and beneath a home’s foundation. Meanwhile, sewer pipes transport collected wastewater to a septic tank or a municipal sewer system.

The spin cycle on your washer should initiate draining, but if you still find leftover water in the washing machine tub, you may need to drain it manually. To manually drain a washing machine, you’ll need to turn off the power supply and locate the drain hose, filter, and pump. Open or disconnect these parts and let the water drain into a bucket.
