"I had my roof, pavers, and pool deck cleaned last year, and the owner, Wilson, and all his staff are amazing. I now have a yearly contract with them that maintains everything looking great. I strongly recommend them."

"On or about June 15, 2020 I called this company to arrange duct cleaning. I was told the first time I could make an appointment was three weeks later, July 6. Because my tenants were concerned about dust I called another Company. AAA All brands and they did the work on June 23. On July 6th the appointment date Duct Doctor arrived and never called me to confirm the appointment and to be fair I didn't call them to cancel. When the technician looked for payment after finishing from the tenant (tenant not familiar with American standards) but the tech was supposed to call me for payment. I told the tech I already had someone clean the ducts and he said to call his Manager Tray which I did. Tray said they always check before starting work to see how clean/dirty the ducts were and he said there was no evidence any work had been done. I certainly paid them and I am certain they did the work. In an interest of civility I asked if we could work something out on the bill. Tray said he never had this situation before and would call Corporate. Tray and I missed each others calls but he finally said they would settle for $325 instead of something north of $400. Yes I suggested I had a Angies list coupon. I offered to pay $250.00. Our conversations have been civil and Tray seems like nice guy but we're at odds about a fair solution to this problem. Duct Doctor is at the high end of what they charge in this area of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl and this unit is less than a 1000 sq ft. In my opinion the office needs to follow up on appointments made so far in advance and make a call to remind people of the appointment What does Angie have to say about this?"

Customers say: True professional

"Steve arrived puntual at the time we had coordinated over the telephone. He cleaned all 20 something windows of the house we recently purchased; the windows were super dirty. He cleaned them one by one. He did a great job! I am super happy with the service he provided. I will certainly hire him again in the future. I 100% recommend him without a doubt."

"I was very impressed with the attention paid to every detail. We had all of our air ducts cleaned and also our dryer duct. Fabio did a very thorough job of both. He also explained what he was doing, including before and after photos! I donâ t think most people realize the importance of having ducts cleaned. And that they need to be cleaned by a true professional. I would highly recommend Duct Depot!"

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The best base materials for a ground-level or floating deck are typically gravel and crushed stone (also known as landscaping rocks). These options are inexpensive, provide excellent drainage, prevent weeds, and help minimize moisture buildup, which reduces shifting and rotting. For added stability and to evenly distribute the weight, you can use concrete deck blocks or pavers. While more expensive, concrete blocks and pavers offer a sturdier base than gravel or crushed stone alone.

The choice between Trex, a brand of composite decking, and PVC decking depends on your priorities regarding budget, appearance, and environmental impact. Both materials are durable and resistant to moisture and insects. Trex is often considered more eco-friendly because it contains recycled wood and plastic and is 25% recyclable, while PVC is fully synthetic and harder to recycle. Aesthetically, Trex is designed to look more like real wood, whereas PVC often has a glossier, more plastic-like finish. In terms of cost, Trex is typically less expensive than PVC.

An above-ground pool with a deck can increase your home's value by as much as 4% to 7%, but it depends on your local climate, potential buyers, and the size and condition of your pool. Some buyers see a pool as a liability instead of a luxury, especially if it's at the end of its life span. In general, it's best to add a pool and deck to your property if it will bring you enjoyment—not because it raises the value of your home.

The overhang, or nosing, of deck steps is another area that will be covered in building code requirements. The noses on your deck steps should have a minimum overhang of ¾ inch. For safety, usability, and code compliance, the nosing of deck steps should not extend past 1¼ inches.

A sunroom will add more value to your home than a deck, but with a much higher up-front cost. Depending on its construction and function, a sunroom may be counted as additional living space, while a deck is strictly an outdoor feature. Both will increase your home’s value, but the sunroom will have a much bigger effect.
