"My home was crowded with over 30 years of living. RA Contractor Flooring came in as true professionals. They went beyond belief to move items and did a fantastic job of removing the old flooring and installing LVP. They are recommended A+ in my opiion. "Very responsive to come out and give a fair quote. Would highly recommend. Job was professionally done and he kept me in the loop the entire time (we were out of town for the 5-6 day job of sanding and refinishing all of our hardwood floors). Moved all the furniture (for an extra fair charge) and replaced it where it was which was much appreciated. Highly recommend."

"Carlos and his crew of professional workers were amazing! They did an incredible job on my floors: sanding, polishing and refinishing my entire apartment in Riverdale, Bronx. They did the job in a timely manner. Carlos was communicative through out the process showing me work in progress. They also removed my floor moldings for a moderate fee and took care of the trash and left the apartment in great condition, clean with no dust. I truly recommend them. They take great pride on their work. I will definitely hire them in the future."

Hardwood Flooring questions, answered by experts

Each flooring material has its own maintenance requirements and cleaning techniques. For example, hardwood floors may require occasional refinishing and specialized cleaning products, while vinyl and laminate are easy to clean with regular sweeping and mopping. Concrete and natural stone, on the other hand, may need periodic sealing to maintain their appearance and durability. Follow manufacturer recommendations and utilize appropriate cleaning methods to preserve the integrity of your chosen flooring material.

Yes, professional services include leveling and moisture testing before installation.

While it may not always be ideal, you can fix a squeaky floorboard without removing the carpet. Pros use specialized carpet screws and drive them through the carpet into the subfloor, securing floorboards. They may also use nails instead of screws if they suspect the pile will get caught in the screw. While some types of carpet will hide the screws and nails, a low-pile carpet may not.

Decent carpet will last around 10 years on stairs. Some less durable carpets, like polyester, will only last five years on stairs. The ideal carpet, like wool or nylon, can last about 15 to 25 years. You’ll know when to replace it when it starts wearing down. You may have to replace it sooner if it's stained, whether due to water damage or pets.

The average cost to install an epoxy garage floor is $2,514, with typical projects ranging from $750 to over $5,716. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $12. Several factors influence the total cost, including the total square footage, required surface preparations, the type and thickness of the epoxy, design complexity, decorative options, and labor costs. For example, an epoxy floor for a one-car garage may cost between $720 and $2,900, while a two-car garage can range from $1,100 to $4,300. Adding decorative elements like flakes can cost about $10 per 250-pound bag, and choosing a metallic epoxy can increase the price to between $5 and $12 per square foot. With proper care and maintenance, a well-installed epoxy floor can last for 10 to 20 years.
