"They were very responsive and professional. There texted me when they were on their way and got here right on time. It took them approximately 10-15 minutes to remove my sectional, ottoman, and a small massage chair. Will definitely use them again if I need to remove any furniture."

"I recently used this junk removal company and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the first call to the final cleanup, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The crew showed up right on time, were respectful of my property, and worked quickly without cutting corners. They made the whole process stress-free—no hidden fees, clear pricing, and they took care of everything, including some heavy and awkward items I couldn’t have moved myself. What really stood out was how friendly and hardworking the team was. They went above and beyond to make sure the area was clean before they left. If you’re looking for reliable, honest, and fast junk removal, I’d highly recommend them. I’ll definitely be using their services again in the future."

"I am the Estate Manager of a 20,000 sq ft home that as one can imagine has to be run like a commercial property. Home Sweet Home is always my first call when anything goes wrong. If it is electric, plumbing, wood or even on our grounds of 8 acres. Jarmine is always quickly to respond within hours for an emergency situation. I would say that he is called upon every few months to repair, replace or improve. Never an issue, never a delay always a solution I feel should be their logo for he never leaves until it is right. Highly recommend Home Sweet Home"

Concrete Disposal questions, answered by experts

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

Garbage disposals can be considered bad for the environment due to their electricity usage, but good for the environment because they reduce the food waste sent to landfills. If everyone used a garbage disposal, it would tax the wastewater treatment facilities in that region, but if we had to choose one of the options, we’d say they are a net positive on the environment when used correctly.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.
