"Yesterday Garry (GS Painting) replaced my front and back entrance door hardware, corrected a problem with mold in my skylights, and touched up some smudges in the paint on my interior walls so that they look new again. Once again I had an extremely positive experience with GS Painting. Whenever I need help with painting, carpentry, fixup, or general maintenance, Garry is the first and ONLY person I call. Not only is he reliable and very professional, but he does top quality work in whatever I ask him to do. I have used him 3 or 4 times since being fortunate enough to have found him on Angi several years ago, and he NEVER DISAPPOINTS. He is knowledgeable and resourceful, always figuring out the best way to solve a problem. He is thorough and does not take shortcuts in order to finish the job--he stays with even the most challenging of tasks. He takes great care and pride in his work, and rightfully so. His prices are competitive and in my opinion actually under market prices in light of the top notch quality of his work. "Work was drawn out due to our vacation and several unexpected out-of-state funerals. Communication with CGC office staff was 2.5 (on 5 point scale). A payment schedule - when and how much - should have been explained in advance. The work: removed steel bathtub and tile surround, plumbing relocated, new cement board, fancy tile, new plumbing fixtures and glass shower doors installed. Wallpapered dining room walls had light plaster coat first applied to smooth out existing orange peel texture. Excellent attention to pattern matching. Paper waste was minimized."

"Ryan Plute is the owner/operator of Village Land and Lighting, LLC. Ryan genuinely puts his whole heart into every job he does. He is an educated engineer and all-purpose problem solver. Most recently Ryan removed two of our 8’-tall X 7’-wide and deeply rooted sweet vibernum hedge plants which had been terminally damaged by a stroke victim’s SUV. Ryan replaced them with two 30-gallon sweet vibernums. Even though this was a relatively small project Ryan made time to visit and view the job-site before formulating an estimate when all other vendors only wanted pictures. Ryan immediately made certain that public utilities were notified and that they had marked their underground lines before he began digging. He coordinated and supervised the nursery crew during the installation of the new shrubs and old vegetation removal, and Ryan meticulously cleaned the area upon completion.
