"Daniella was very nice and professional and I needed her the next day, (short notice) as we had moved out and needed the house cleaned the next day, so we could hand in the keys. She was there on time and gave me a fair price and had help with her and they were fast and very efficient. She went above and beyond what I had asked for and I did so appreciate that! The house was so clean and looked so much better than when we moved in! It was a rental house, and I wish I had her clean before we moved in. She had it so clean and smelled so clean too! We will definitely use her again for cleaning our new house! My husband couldn't believe the great job they did either! Thank you Daniella!!"

"Scott repaired a vinyl fence and aluminum fence. Very professional, and great to work with. He saved us money by finding a way to repair part of the fence creatively so we didnt have to wait 12 weeks for parts to come on. And he made me laugh - great energy! We will use him again for other projects. Hire him! You wonâ  t regret it!"

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, and in some cases, frozen ground may improve the digging process for footings due to sturdier conditions. It’s easier than working in muddy conditions, which are more common in the spring. Contractors may use machinery that makes this step a breeze, so harder ground shouldn’t affect the building process.

As with patios, there are many types of deck choices to choose from to add personalization to your home. Some common deck options include:

  • Attached decks are anchored to the home and include simple ground-level options or multi-level structures with stairways and separate landings.

  • Detached island decks are not attached to the home; they’re a freestanding structure in the yard.

  • Wraparound decks connect the back of the house with at least one other side and often are built with railings for safety.

  • Multi-level decks connect your deck through varying levels of elevation, featuring landings that are attached to stairs.

Pressure-treated wood contains preservatives that give the material internal protection from rot and pests. Untreated lumber won’t last more than a few years unless you choose a more expensive wood, like cedar, that naturally stands up well to moisture. Composite decking can outlast wood but is more expensive and doesn’t look as natural. Keep in mind that you’ll need to seal any exterior wood product to protect it from the elements and other forms of external damage.

Yes, transforming a deck into a sunroom is an absolute possibility. Building a sunroom involves framing in the deck area with walls, adding windows, and affixing a roof. This project is not an easy task, but it does provide a stylish addition to your house. Not all deck designs support this type of renovation project, so consult a professional deck builder before beginning.

To flatten a cupped deck board, start by ensuring it’s dry. Then, try flipping the board over so the cupped side faces down and reattach it. If that’s not possible, you can use screws to pull it tighter to the joists or plane the edges slightly to reduce the cup. It’s best to replace severely cupped boards.
