"Craig is very customer oriented! He listens to you as you describe the project. Craig gives appropriate feedback. He treats you with importance and not a number like some company reps do. I have a couple of projected projects planned over the summer where I will be contacting on. I was quoted an excellent price for the driveway extension."

"I just used Souza Brick paver to complete my driveway. This is the second job they’ve done for me, having done patios, gravel and yard clearing for me last year. Once again, they did an outstanding job. They offered a fair price with dependable service. They’re always happy to make corrections and they care about customer satisfaction. Super nice owner."

Small jobs welcome

"Gary is very meticulous with his prep work and it showed iwhen he completed our project. We hired him to install a concrete slab, patio and a sidewalk. He showed up on time and always kept us informed of what he was doing. We are extremely pleased with his work. My wife told me his work was "Phenomenal "! We plan to hire him again for future projects. We highly recommend Gary!!"

Customers say: True professional

"The work was professional and the results were awesome. Mike and crew corrected and rebuilt pavers that were on a portion of a sloped driveway. They were on time and finished the same day. They did a great job cleaning after the project was completed. A Plus."

Small jobs welcome

"We hired New Creations to renovate our front yard landscaping. Bobby and his crew did a great job translating our ideas into plants and the infrastructure. We paid $3,800 to set up a low-maintenance front yard with a drip line, terraced flower beds, an ornamental tree, stacked stone detail, and an address plinth. We're very happy with the final results and received a lot of compliments. We will definitely hire them again in the future!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

This creates a risk for your driveway to fail after asphalt curing because it doesn't have a lasting bond with the surface. In order to get asphalt to perform as intended, it's necessary to prepare the dirt surface correctly first. The loose soil base under the new driveway must be compacted until it is stable enough to support the weight of the asphalt.

You can expect your asphalt pavement to last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, or 25 years on average. The life expectancy of your asphalt driveway depends on the climate, the amount of traffic, and how well you maintain it. While you can’t necessarily control some of these factors, you can control the amount of maintenance effort you put into your driveway.

To prevent your asphalt from deteriorating prematurely, you should follow a good maintenance routine involving regular cleaning, reparation work, and resealing.

Gravel is one of the few driveway materials that can handle rain the second it’s installed. Unlike asphalt, which needs days to set, or concrete, which requires weeks to cure, gravel is ready as soon as it’s compacted. It’s naturally permeable, allowing water to drain straight through—with no risk of pooling or surface damage. Gravel driveways are one of the most affordable, at $1 to $3 per square foot, and can also last upward of 100 years.

In terms of durability, concrete driveways can last more than 50 years when properly maintained, compared to the typical 30 years for an asphalt driveway. However, the durability depends on the climate, base material and thickness, and thickness of the concrete or asphalt used. The longevity of concrete or asphalt driveways also depends on how well it’s maintained and the amount of wear and tear it endures.

The material that’s best for your private road depends on your property, the climate in your area, and your personal preferences. Gravel is an affordable option, but some homeowners don’t like how it looks. It can be a pain to remove snow from, and it requires more ongoing maintenance than asphalt or concrete. However, while these other options require less maintenance and make snow removal a breeze, they’re more expensive and will need repairs from time to time. Ultimately, you’ll have to choose the road material that suits you and your property best.
