"Tamara's poor service cost us $6000 (not including her consultation fee and the money we'll have to spend finding and actual interior designer) To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. My husband and I sought after an interior designer to help us with furnishing and designing our new home. When we first spoke with Tamara she made it clear that she was not going to draw up a design but that she would help guide us through the process of selecting color schemes, furniture and accent pieces. She had us send her pictures from pintrest of things we liked and agreed to meet us in person for an initial in home consultation which was $250. After having sent her pictures of furniture, rooms and colors schemes we liked, I expected that she would have recommendations of actual furniture, artwork, and accent pieces that would work in our home. Instead, all she did was tell us to find a piece of art and then pick everything else out based on the art work. This is free advice anyone can get from watching HGTV. I did not understand the point of is sending her pictures of things we like if she wasn't going to help us find what would work. When I expressed my concerns to Tamara she offered to help us pick pieces for the design. She said we could text her pictures of items while we were in the store and she would let us know if things would work or not work. While shopping for a bedroom set we sent Tamara images of our furniture to ask if things would match. The upholstered headboard my husband wanted was separate from the nightstands and dresser I wanted. We weren't sure if the pieces would work as they were in different sections of the store. To her credit, Tamara did answer quickly and approved of our pieces. When the bedroom set and separate headboard were delivered it was clear that the pieces do not complement each other at all. What Tamara failed to recognize or inform us is that the lighting in furniture stores is vastly different than the lights people have in their homes. The gray headboard with blue/cool undertones does not compliment the gray wooden night stands/dresser as they have reddish brown/warm undertones. I wish Angie's List could let me attach a picture as one looke and it's clear. Plus the night table stands are way too big for the space. To make matters worse the store we bought from has a no return policy for all items bought in the store. Now obviously Tamara is human and allowed to make mistakes but when I reached out to her to express that the pieces didn't work and wanted to sell some of the items, her response was apathetic and completely dissolved of helping to rectify the problem. She offered no solutions whatsoever. I wish we had just stopped at the consult and only lost out on $250 when I thought her advice was worthless. Instead of worthless advice I now have a $6000 mess. PS I will try to leave her a Google review so I can attach a photo of our bedroom along with a Screen shot of her approving the pieces."
