"Our business in real estate home development and rentals as well as vacation rentals we have had Mr. Wallace as our go to manager of the houses for all maintenance and replacement and repair work from many flooring installations, carpet installation, painting, drywall fixes, cabinet installations, kitchen custom hood installations, laundry and appliance machine installations, temperature controls for heating and cooling and smart locks, smart tv mounting and installations and so much more! "My house entry door had long-standing wood rot in several places. I decided I'd better get a professional to fix that. I called Scott Purvis based on his homeadvisor.com ratings. Scott came over right away, looked at the door and made some suggestions as to how he would fix the door. I liked the plan, and hired him. Scott's work was excellent, he kept me advised all along the way and I am very pleased with the door as it is now."

"K&R did a great job, on time. I will definitely be using them again! They contacted me quickly to set up a time to review my yard, and gave me a very competitive quote for the work they did. The cleanup looks really professional."

"Excellent job! Done on time with quality work even though they had to cut through an exterior concrete block wall and had little crawl space. Keith is good at thinking through details and saved me a bunch of money. Highly recommended!"

"Very Well, they went beyond what i was expecting and did a wonderful job, The guys were very polite and explained every step as things went along. The wrought iron furniture and wooden rocker (over 100 yrs old - made by my Granddad) all look like new, The even shop vac the porch and garage to get all the saw dust removed, cleaned up all the scrapes and trash, They left everything cleaned up and looking like a show room. Todd's and Ends prices were fair and I would certianly recommend them"

"I've used Dee for several interior and exterior jobs. I admired that he was a young entrepreneur but most importantly he took pride in his work!! He works in a timely manner, honest, and excited about expanding his business. He does a great job!! I respect quality. For example he took a set of 30 yr old brick steps that were black and restored them to brand new quality."

"Mr. Wright, owner and operator of Razor’s Painting was an absolute joy to hire. He was professional, hard working, punctual and most importantly he was extremely easy to talk to. We had some obstacles getting the decks painted because of the weather but Mr. Wright called me each morning to discuss the weather and make a plan of action. I never had to hunt him down to find out when he’d be back. I also found out that he does interior painting, drywall repair and a number of other things. Mr. Wright’s overall price was well worth the work I paid for not to mention he is the honest type of professional I enjoy doing business with."

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

You can build an outdoor kitchen on a deck, but you should choose composite decking since it's more heat-resistant. Metal deck materials like steel and aluminum are also good choices because they're less flammable than wood. You should also consider the weight of the kitchen—make sure your deck can support it and any appliances you plan to use. You should consult a structural engineer to confirm exactly how much weight your deck can safely support when building an outdoor kitchen.

No, your deck will not rot under artificial grass as long as it is installed properly. When installed correctly, the artificial grass features a drainage system that prevents rotting. Simply laying artificial grass on top of the decking without proper installation will not lead to an effective drainage system that prevents rotting.

The best way to clean your decking is to clear debris from the gaps between the boards, sweep the surface, rinse it, apply cleaner, rinse again, and let it dry fully. A homemade deck cleaner made of two gallons of warm water and 1/2 cup vinegar is a simple cleaning solution for both wood and composite decking. You can sprinkle baking soda on any spots with mold or mildew, then scrub the area and rinse clean.

Your deck may look or feel fuzzy after pressure washing because the high-pressure spray tears some wood fibers as it removes the outer layer of dead and discolored wood. This fuzzy effect is a normal part of the pressure-washing process and will go away on its own in a few weeks. You can opt to spot-sand your deck if you’d like to remove it more quickly.

Composite decking might cost more upfront, but it delivers value in terms of durability. Unlike wood, composite material resists common deck problems such as rotting, fading, warping, and all the other things you don’t want a deck to do. The extra processes lead to a higher price tag, but you’ll save big in maintenance costs down the road.
