"Brian and Cory with Oceanside did an outstanding job of repairing some stucco on my home. They arrived on time and were very nice to work with throughout the project. If you are needing some work on your stucco this would be a great choice."

Small jobs welcome

"Gery did a phenomenal job with our primary bath remodel. We had a wall removed, needed ceiling repair, and moved plumbing. Gery was hardworking, fair, and the final product couldn’t be better. We chose a smooth texture instead of the orange peel that fills the rest of our home. It looks so so luxurious and calm now. He also created the arch for our shower which I LOVE. We will absolutely have him out again anytime we need drywall work. Highly recommend!"

"Edward Ryan worked with us every step of the way... he helped us get the designs and permits and did a large amount of the work himself. He has a great work ethic and kept everything moving forward. The subcontractors he did use were very professional. They did such a great job that you would have a hard time figuring out where the addition was put on if you didn't know where to look. I fully intend to use him again for home renovations we have planned."

"The project is beautiful. Wood siding was removed from three gables and replaced with stucco. Patrick and his team were very professional and respectful. Everything was cleaned up on a daily basis and immaculate when the job was completed. I would highly recommend Seacoast Stone and Stucco."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Tools include trowels, floats, and patching compounds. Professionals use these for precise and durable repairs.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

Stucco is durable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance, making it a popular choice for exterior finishes.

The cost to replace the chimney crown or top is about $1,550 on average. The range varies widely depending on the size of the chimney, the materials used, accessibility, and the extent of the damage. If you suspect a problem with your chimney top, call a professional masonry contractor for an inspection.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.
