"I was able to design and pick my choice of Tub & shower and get it installed quickly and efficiently. They did it in one day and was able to get me in contact with a very good builder who did a fantastic job on remodeling my bath the way I wanted it and for a very reasonable price! I am really glad that I chose Bath Fitter and highly recommend them for this kind of work including their builder: Vanguard Builders LLC"

"One Day Bath responded quickly to my request for a quote through Home Advisor. Gabriel contacted me within minutes and provided a quote. He offered to perform the reglazing of my shower in a couple of days and accepted the job. He and his team arrived on-time and prepared to work. They repaired the chips and did a bit of sanding to smooth the surface. The work was performed professionally and without delays. The job was performed to my satisfaction. These are the guys you want working your job. They were in and out in about six hours."

"Travis was very helpful in scheduling our kitchen sink install. Despite being busy, he was able to send Pete Chesser out the next day. Pete did a fine job and is very pleasant to work with. The cost ro us was HALF of another company's estimate. Very pleased with Harlow Plumbing and I recommend them with no hesitation! Andrew E."

"The initial contact was quick. Charlie came and provided an estimate which was fair and reasonable. We did have several delays in getting on their schedule to start which was a bit frustrating. They had legitimate delays with illness and a crew in a traffic accident. The delay was about three months to get started. However, once work began, everything went very well. We were impressed with the crew. Josh and Charlie were very professional and cleaned up well at the end of each day. The results are fantastic. And worth the wait. We plan to use them again."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

If you don’t caulk your bathtub, then there won’t be a watertight seal between your bathtub and the wall tile surrounding it. As a result, water can seep into the wall and the floor and cause the perfect breeding grounds for mold and mildew. Not only does this require costly repairs, but mold can be harmful to those breathing it.

The difference between resurfacing and refinishing is that refinishing only works on solid surfaces that are in good condition, whereas resurfacing will restore a cracked or worn surface to its original, blemish-free state. Refinishing will leave you with a smooth and glossy surface you can’t get from resurfacing alone. If that’s the look you’re going for, contact a local concrete finishing contractor to achieve it.

Two alternatives to reglazing are installing a bathtub inlay or a bathtub liner. An inlay is a low-priced mat that adheres to the bottom of a bathtub or shower. It’s useful for sealing minor leaks and concealing damage on the bottom of a tub. On the other hand, a bathtub liner is essentially a protective casing that goes over the entire tub. They are usually custom-fit and cost more than reglazing yet don’t last as long.

To maintain a walk-in tub, clean it regularly with non-abrasive cleaners. Periodically inspect the seals, jets, and faucets to ensure they remain functional and in good condition.

Reglazing a bathtub can last anywhere from 3 to 15 years. With a professional application, a reglazed surface can be as durable as a new tub and should last 10 to 15 years without issues like cracking or peeling. To maximize its lifespan, clean the tub regularly and avoid using abrasive cleaners. The longevity of the reglazing can be shorter if the tub was significantly damaged before the process or if the application occurred in cold or humid weather conditions.
