Since 2001 The Solar Guys has grown from a small home based company to largest Solatube dealer in the United States. Our territory originally included Alachua, Marion, Citrus, Lake and Sumter counties. In 2010 The Solar Guys acquired the Orlando market as part of our service area. This included Volusia, Flagler, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties. In 2012, The Solar Guys acquired exclusive marketing rights for the sale and installation of Huper Optik window film in Marion, Lake, and Sumter counties. In 2014 The Solar Guys started our insulation division initially offering water heater wraps and garage door insulation. This quickly grew to whole house radiant barrier and blown-in attic insulation. In 2015 Chris Teel acquired minority ownership once again reaffirming our belief of keeping the “family” in family business.
