"Thank you for trusting us with your home. The team at Hickman Metal Roofing"
"Thank you for trusting us with your home."
"Home owner was a pleasure to work with and we have become casual friends. Thank you!"
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], Your glowing review is validation for the hard work and dedication me and my team strive for each day. THANK YOU!"
"I was happy to help the Browns with their roof issue. It was a simple fix that I have seen many times before. Thank You."
"Thank you so much!"
"Ms. [Member Name Removed] is a strident user of Angies List and holds businesses to high standard. I take pride that my team was able to meet or even exceed her expectations. Thank You!"
"The home owner states the cost of the roof to be $80,000.00. I did the work through a general contractor the home owner hired and was no where near $80,000.00 he claims. I suspect the general contractor marked up my price by a large margin and the home owner feels he got ripped off. I have never offered a maintenance contract to any of my customers. I would not have offered advice to never have anyone else walk on the roof. I did clean the roof of tree debris twice. When the home owner contacted about a third cleaning I declined to not get involved. The risk of having my employees on a steep, wet metal roof is more than I am willing to accept. I never mentioned my workers compensation carrier unless it was in regard to providing required fall protection for my employees. Prior to declining to participate in a third cleaning the home owner spoke very highly of my company and by all accounts was very pleased. The allegation that I do not stand behind my product at all is false. The workmanship and material warranty are still valid."
Randy, the sales man, is a pleasant person. But, his job is to sell you a roof. It's your job to be sure that you are putting your roof on a solid base. Randy writes our an agreement including a payment scheme: Pay for the metal (~1/3) up front. Pay the next 1/3 after the underlayment is completed. Final payment on completion. There is really no time or place to address any concerns that might arise. The only role that management plays is to type out a bill. I found this to be an awkward arrangement for me and the foreman.
Another problem: We tried to coordinate the timing of the roof work with the removal by us of an unwanted skylight. We asked that the roofers began their work on the highest level while we replaced the skylight on the lower level. The roofer showed us that was not to be. We managed to deal with the problem. But, this decision lead to a stupid program in which the roofers had to clamber over the underlayment on the lower level to carry materials to the upper level.
A complaint deserves a positive comment: The workers were very competent. They showed considerable skill in working and shaping the metals. I was very pleased with the care and concern that they showed in finishing the metal work.
"I am pleased that the homeowner would hire me again. I am responding to some misconceptions between us. The homeowner refers to the payment schedule as a "scheme". The payment terms are agreed to by both parties BEFORE the contract is signed. The payment schedule was constructed so that the home owner only pays for actual work completed. Management is not only available if unforeseen situations come up, Derek Hickman owner and project manager was on the job multiple times to oversee the work. (member name removed) was present all but one of the times. It was necessary to remove the lower level metal roof to provide a safer surface for the crew to walk on while accessing the upper roof. Walking on a metal roof with dew and tree pollen on it is unsafe. The underlayment is very durable and was unharmed. If any underlayment had been damaged it would have been replaced immediately. The homeowner would access the upper roof many times and I was concerned for his safety. At my expense I installed a permanent stainless steel anchor for homeowner to secure himself to when on the roof. This homeowner is a valued customer of Hickman Metal Roofing and I would be proud to contract with him again."
"Thank you for your business!"
We chose the Image II roof. It is a little more expensive, but doesn't show screws/bolts and polar white color. Metal roofs are more expensive than shingle, but we hope it's worth the investment.
"On behalf of everyone here at Hickman Metal Roofing, Thank You!"
"Thank you for trusting me with your home. I will pass on your comments to the entire staff."
"Thank you for trusting me with your new roof."
"Thank you for your review. It is nice to know that doing things the right way is appreciated."
