"They scheduled us for a Saturday because they were booked all week and they didn’t want to make us wait for an opening. They were punctual, reasonable prices, polite, and cleaned up when they were finished. I definitely recommend them."

Small jobs welcome

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Insulate It for our spray foam insulation! From start to finish, they were prompt, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They quickly provided an estimate, and the team worked efficiently to complete the job. They were friendly and approachable throughout the entire process. We couldn’t be happier with their work and would recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch insulation services. All around great! Thank you, Travis and team for a job well done!"

"Rodney and Terry arrived on time 8:30AM.  Rodney answered questions/concerns I had about insulation.  They proceeded getting the job done.  I was having this done as my garage gets very hot in the summer, no ventilation in attic.  Rodney recommended a solar fan on roof.  Will have this done is the spring time.  I got recommedations and quotes from several other companies.  They were recommending other types of insulation that cost a lot more.  Was very happy with price and service I  got with Reichel Insulaltion.

"I can’t say enough about Attic Ninjas. I usually don’t leave reviews but in this case I’ll make an exception. Their price was very competitive…lower than most. The guys were pleasant and seemed very conscientious about their work. They were concerned that we were satisfied with the job they were doing. Blowing insulation is by nature a messy job. However they controlled the mess throughout the day and cleaned up perfectly when they finished. David followed up several months later to ensure that everything was ok and that we were satisfied. How often does that happen?? You can’t go wrong with these guys."

"Juan Carlos and his team did a great job repairing our ceiling. They had to go through three layers of concrete board and drywall on our old house (1925) and the repair looks wonderful. They fixed the ceilings and walls with cracks in 5 different places and then painted. They were courteous and professional. I would hire them again. (Note: some of the attached photos show before the paint. After paint, it blends with the ceiling and walls much better.)"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

According to the EPA, mold grows within 24 to 48 hours if left untreated after a water leak. So unless you notice the leak and stop it right away, you only have a day or so before mold is a real concern. If you don’t notice the leak, it can take about three weeks for the mold spores to become visible. That means you’ve likely had an active mold infection for a few weeks by the time you notice discoloration.

Yes, you can install drywall over plaster, but there are important factors to consider. While it can create a smooth, flat surface, it is often not the best approach. Installing drywall over plaster will increase the wall's thickness, which can cause issues with existing window and door frames that may no longer fit. You might also need to adjust power outlets to keep them accessible. A better, though more expensive, option is to remove the old plaster and lath entirely before installing new drywall. Drywalling directly over plaster seals in the old material, and if any problems arise later, you will need to remove both layers down to the structural beams for repairs. Given the potential complications, this job is best handled by professionals.

In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.

A common cause of separation between a wall and the ceiling is truss lift—this can happen to the ceiling of rooms directly under the attic when the seasons change and wood building materials dry out, shrink, and shift. Roof trusses often dry out at different speeds, and if the bottom pieces dry out faster than the top pieces, they can shrink and pull the attached drywall away from ceilings and walls, causing cracks. Fortunately, truss lift is only a cosmetic problem, not a structural problem, and you can fix it by separating the ceiling drywall from the roof trusses, and patching the cracks.

If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.
