"Had a clogged drain and called for a plumber expecting a $100-$200 snake bill. He informed it was clogged and needed water jetting tried to charge me $3600 for the whole hose but would do the one line for $615. I looked it up and the industry average is $350-$600 a line he charged $615 per line in the house to clear as I had a clog at the time was stuck using the overpriced service after some review found that other companies do lines for as low as $99 using Angi thought I would not be getting the most overpriced option out there but I was wrong"

"Very smooth process the company responded quickly and did camera inspection and showed me all the footage so I could understand what was going on with my drainage system and the condition of my drains and they gave me a great deal on the toilet install as well as a package deal. Thank you!"

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Depending on the layout of your bathroom, you may be able to replace a shower valve without removing the tile. The existing hole needs to be large enough to remove your old valve and fit your new valve. If the hole is too small, you’ll need to cut into the wall and remove some of the tile.

Bleach—even diluted bleach—is not always the safest option for cleaning your drains. With a high pH, bleach can be highly corrosive to many types of pipes, especially when used regularly. When mixed with household cleaners and organic waste, it can also create dangerous chemicals. Remember to use proper protective equipment and ventilation when dealing with bleach.

Walk-in tubs have multiple sealing mechanisms to prevent leaks. However, like any bathroom fixture, they can develop leaks over time due to wear, poor installation, or structural issues. Choosing a tub from a reputable manufacturer and ensuring proper installation by experienced professionals can minimize the likelihood of leaks. Additionally, regular inspections and addressing any problems promptly can help maintain the integrity of the walk-in tub and prevent potential problems.

Homeowners insurance usually doesn’t cover sewer backups because it’s typically an avoidable problem with proper maintenance. The only exception would be if the backup is occurring because of local flooding and only if your city uses a combined drainage system for stormwater and sewage. If that’s the case, your policy should cover any resulting damage.

The cost to pipe a sink depends on the location. Generally, you’ll spend somewhere from $150 to $500 installing plumbing under a kitchen sink and $200 to $800 installing plumbing under a bathroom sink. These costs could rise if you don’t have a plumbing hookup nearby and you have to reroute plumbing from outside of your kitchen or bathroom.
