"I couldn?t be more impressed! From start to finish, they were professional, extremely nice, and went above and beyond. I love my greenspace and the feel of nature around my property, so had them take down the trees that were absolutely necessary. They understood this, and helped me carefully decide which trees needed to come down for safety or maintenance while preserving the natural beauty. Not only did they expertly handle the trees that needed removal, but they also cleared out brush and overhanging limbs around my house. They left the area clean and tidy, which I really appreciated. They took the time to assess other trees and areas of my property, providing valuable advice and a detailed quote for future work if needed. Their expertise & thoroughness are second to none. This is a five-star service all the way! If you need tree care, I highly recommend. They deliver amazing results and truly go the extra mile."

I’ve been working in landscaping for 5-6 years with my father and he has more than 20 years of experience in landscaping. We are a family owned business and my father has worked for two landscaping companies and those companies are Montgomery landscaping and Golden Landscapes. We've done irrigation and drainage work in multiple locations in alabama, we also do trimming, mulch, and straw. We do work in Montgomery, Wetumpka, Prattville, Millbrook, Alabaster, and any other city in the state of Alabama. We are very well versed in trimming ,irrigation and drainage systems, and laying sod and installing shrubs, trees and flowers. We take pride in our work and we cater to every aspect of what the client asks of us and we always ask for the clients opinion of the project before we finish. I believe we should be hired because of are amazing work ethic and experience we have in doing landscaping and our top priority will be to satisfy all clients with any project they have for us to complete.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The recovery time for pruning depends on how much you prune, the species of tree, and how well you care for it afterward. All trees grow new wood and often sprout additional branches after pruning. Ideally, trees should recover from normal pruning after one or two years. Heavy pruning or slow-growing trees may take several years to fully recover.

Most experts recommend removing a tree that has sustained more than 25% loss in the limbs, trunk, or circumference of the bark. Doing an initial trimming of damaged and dangling branches, but then waiting a few days of monitoring to decide how much more you might need to cut can help you better assess the total damage to the tree. However, consulting a tree maintenance pro to make this determination the best course of action before removing a tree.

Trees that flower in the spring—like dogwood, cherry, magnolia, and pear—should not be pruned during the winter. These spring-flowering plants grow buds on old growth, so you’ll actually remove what would’ve been gorgeous flowering foliage. Instead, wait to prune until right after they bloom, when the flowers fade.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.
