"Sergio and his assistant were excellent! I had several carpentry jobs and a couple electrical jobs and he did them all. I feel fortunate to find someone I can call now to help with things i need done around the property. Very reasonable priced and well worth the cost!"

"Jason is a hard worker and committed to getting the job done right and in a reasonable amount of time. For us he completed our entire staircase in 1 day. He took up the carpet and put down wood for the steps, sanded and caulked areas and more! This job was enough for 2 people but he did it all himself. It looks fantastic and ready for the final job which is painting. Thank you Jason! You are the BEST!!! Kind regards, The Kings"

When choosing a drywall anchor, consider the weight of the object you're hanging and how much weight the anchor will need to support. The heavier the weight, the stronger the anchor you'll need. You’ll find the weight capacity on the packaging when shopping for anchors.

Also, remember that you can use more than one anchor when hanging something on the wall. If you're using multiple anchors, divide the object weight by the number of anchors to determine how much each will need to support. If you need help deciding which drywall anchor to use, you can hire a handyperson to hang your objects.

When hanging a door frame, it’s recommended that you use screws, not nails. Screws are more secure, easier to tighten, and easier to remove if you need to adjust the frame. On average, the cost to replace a door frame is about $400, but you can save on labor costs if you’re confident in your ability to DIY the project.

Bump-out additions can extend anywhere from 2 to 15 feet from an existing room. The right size will depend on how you plan to use the new space. For a cantilever bump-out, which doesn't require additional foundation support, the limit is typically 24 inches (2 feet). If a footing and foundation are part of the project, a bump-out can be much larger, even encompassing a whole room. It's also important to remember that many residential properties have limits on the total house size relative to the lot size.

Yes, walls on the top floor can be load-bearing if stacked on the floor’s foundation.

You can choose 5/8-inch plywood or 3/4-inch plywood—anything thinner than these sizes may not withstand the impact of debris propelled by strong winds or can be easily torn off by intruders. Remember that the durability of the wood board is crucial, particularly for safeguarding your windows during severe storms. The effectiveness of using wood boards for protecting the investment you made in your home relies on using the appropriate material and ensuring proper installation.
