"Juan and Anthony did a remarkable job with prepping our house and shed to be painted. The paint job is fabulous and we couldn’t be happier with it. They were such a joy to work with. They were great with my hubby being out there watching and asking questions. We will certainly refer anyone we know who needs their home painted. "WOW!!! Our house is now back to being beautiful. All wood cedar siding with wood porches front and back in desperate need of resurfacing and sealing. Jose thoroughly cleaned it, looked so good. Then he and his crew stained and sealed ALL surfaces. It's so beautiful now, went from good after cleaning to GREAT!!! Jose is great to work with from start to finish. "Benrahou Painting did a great job with the painting and door repair. Mustapha was on time and very nice to work with. He helped pick out the shades and finishes of paint to use for both the inside and outside of the house. He repaired the door before painting it so that I didn’t need to replace the doors. I have worked with many contractors in the past for other projects and he was much easier to work with and more reliable. I will absolutely hire him again for future projects."

Adding a second coat of stain to wood can even out the color to some extent, but it won't drastically alter the hue if the initial application is too light or too dark. It's more effective at enhancing the richness of the color rather than significantly changing it. Ensure the first coat is dry before applying the second.

Stains penetrate wood best when it's cool and dry, so you want to avoid moisture. If the wood is wet upon application, or if it rains before the stain dries, the water will soak into the wood and displace the staining solution. This leads to a flaky and blotchy look, which is the opposite of a sumptuous even coat. Once the stain has fully cured, after about 3 days, rain shouldn’t cause you any problems.

Wood stain is typically dry to the touch within 6 to 12 hours, but it is not fully cured at this point. You should wait at least 24 hours before applying a second coat or a protective finish. For surfaces like decks, avoid walking on them for at least 24 to 48 hours, and wait even longer before placing furniture. The full curing process can take from 24 hours to one week, depending on the type of stain. Factors like high humidity and cold temperatures can extend drying and curing times, so it's wise to allow for extra time in these conditions.
