"I was very satisfied with Anderson Landscaping. I called them because of a flood I had suffered during recent heavy rains. The property did not have a proper drainage system due to its low elevation. Tod Anderson came out and quickly started troubleshooting and coming up with a multi-faceted approach toward mitigating future flooding issues. After the plan was designed and approved, the project started within a week. Every day, the landscapers would show up right on time and work meticulously throughout the day. Tod would appear on site several times to check on the project and make continued suggestions for the best solution possible. He understood that landscaping was secondary to flood mitigation - and I very much appreciated his care and understanding of my problem. At several points throughout the project, I would notice areas that I figured I would have to go in and clean up or tweak. However, the landscapers always noticed those spots far before I even had to bring it up. I was very impressed with their attention to detail and care. I have already recommended them to another friend in need of a landscaper and would recommend them again."

"This was a hard removal. It was a cement surface over my concrete pool deck. It had to be removed with an industrial size grinder that looked like a big floor polisher. The work was dirty and dusty but at the end of the day and throughout the job, it was being continuously cleaned and dry vacuumed. Every evening (it took 5 days) the completed areas had been cleaned and left neatly. They moved my furniture, my plants, everything and then returned it. Hire them. They are already hired for another project. Highly recommend without hesitation."

"I recently bought a home that had a pool, patio, and front courtyard that had not been updated since the house was built in1986. It had the ugliest stamped, painted patio, which didn't drain when it rained , was slipper and the paint was peeling. The steps from the front door had been built wheras it was easy to fall since it was 3 small steps instead of 2 steps. My fiancé and I proceeded to interview different paver companies, I would say 6 in all. We finally called National brick pavers at a acquaintances recommendation. We met with the owner Dave Gordon and explained everything we wanted to do to the outside of the house. He came back the following week with a quote to redo the pool and the patio. We hired him that day! I was so relieved that we didn't need to keep interviewing. We felt that National Brick Pavers quote was fair, and they had a solid reputation and Dave Gordon was professiona and instilled confidence when he spoke about what had to be done. Dave Gordon was accessible and present from meeting us to pick out our travetine to picking out our glass pool tile. He stayed on top of everyone that was involved with the project . He even recommended a landscaper that we used and were very happy with. (Best Landscaping) . The only issue we had was that we had to wait 2 weeks longer than we initially wanted to since we had family coming down. Dave didnt want to squeeze us in and rush his guys. Well it was worth it! we are thrilled with the outcome. Everything came out beautifully and all the drainage problems were gone. You would never recognize the outside from the before pictures. Once I figure out how to post before and after pictures I will post them. With confidence I can definitely recommend National Brick Pavers!! Sent from my iPad"

"My second time using AMVA Construction LLC for my two home bathroom & kitchen remodeling, they’re great, fast & professional. Alex walked me thru the process with confidence, got my blue prints done, all my permits and we passed with flying colors. I would recommend them greatly. I’m super happy I didn’t take a chance with the competitors."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

There are some instances when you can use extra drywall in your garden. Ideally, unused scraps of new drywall are best for amending soil without the concern of additional chemicals or mold. However, drywall with paint, mold, or potential asbestos requires specialized disposal by a professional and should be kept out of your garden.

Plant privet hedges at least 1 foot apart in a trench about 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep. It’s important to space privet hedges relatively far apart due to how quickly they grow to significant sizes and heights. You don’t want to crowd privet plants, or they could overcrowd each other, causing unwanted damage.

You should exercise care when deciding how to landscape over a leach field for your septic system. You typically want lightweight materials that won’t damage the drain field’s perforated pipes. When adding plants to the area, select plants with shallow roots, such as grass or flower gardens. Trees with deep roots could damage the pipes in the field.

A green home is one that focuses on conservation, with the goal often being net-zero carbon emissions and self-sustainability. It will often include some kind of self-generation equipment, like solar panels or a small wind turbine, high-efficiency electrical components and mechanicals, and high-quality insulation and air sealing to reduce the loss of conditioned air. Many green homes also include xeriscaping or rainwater collection to cut down on drainage and water consumption.

Yes, you can absolutely transplant bushes instead of removing them completely. The success depends on the size of the bushes, their age, and the transplanting season. Ideally, transplant during the dormant season (late fall or winter). Dig out the entire root system in one piece, fill the new hole with fresh soil and mulch, and water thoroughly after planting.
