"Alex the Owner was a joy to work with from estimate which was while he stood in the space, His framework was fast and on point square as they come . The pour came both trucks at once and there were two finishers Alex and his assistant. Alex did not ruffle a feather about it, he pour, placed and a pre level on the concrete . In less than 3 hrs ! Then came Alex with the wirlybird, to finish to a lovely job. If you want a company where the owner is at your job, and can face any issues on the spot. Then you need Alex Concrete!! Iâ m an ex flooring contractor, I know slabs of concrete. I would lay tile or stone on the slab itâ s so level!! Bravo Alex and Alex Concrete you have my business forever!"

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

Rebar is an essential part of reinforcing a basement floor, as not having it can impact its structural integrity. It helps absorb the tension factors that contribute to cracks in your floor and strengthens its load-bearing capabilities by evenly distributing the weight. Not including rebar could lead to an unstable floor, so don’t skip it!

Yes, all basement floors crack in response to the natural settlement of the soil around them and from concrete shrinkage as it cures, and you’ll see hairline cracks as a result. However, you should keep an eye on your basement floor to see if cracks continue to lengthen or widen or show signs of water intrusion. In any of these cases, the problem is likely not settling or shrinkage, and a professional repair is necessary.

How often you should resurface your pool deck depends on its material and condition. Concrete pool decks should be resurfaced every two to five years. Decks that are exposed to harsh heat and UV light may need to be sealed more often than ones that are mostly shaded.

Yes, you can pour concrete over an existing concrete basement floor to save time and money on fully ripping out an existing concrete slab. However, it’s not a perfect solution, so consult a pro before moving forward. You must take specific measurements, and these kinds of floors don’t have the same longevity.

Refinishing reduces landfill waste, minimizes resource extraction impacts, and uses fewer raw materials than new installations.
