"Erion painted all of the rooms in our 1,800 sq foot condo. He did an exceptional job. Of the painters we have used over the years on our condo and our home his quality is better than virtually anyone we have ever used. His quality, attention to detail and flexibility are exceptional. He is easy going, and when you ask he provides great advise with his extensive experience."

"Dynamic. It Can’t say enough good things about Fabio and his wife. They did an incredible job on my wallpaper, which was difficult because my walls are not smooth.. They were always on time and did exactly as they said they were going to. They exceeded my expectations."

"Lee was great! He was on time both days. He stuck to his timeline and finished the job in 2 days like he had said. The walls looked amazing and were ready for paint just like he had agreed. We had multiple patches done and you would never know. The knockdown looks great! Price was very fair. We were so pleased. We’ve already set up another date for him to do knockdown in another area."

"Kevin from J.K Decorating & Handyman, LLC did an incredible job in our walk in closet. Our home was built in the 50s and is essentially several additions so I knew the closet would be a lot of demo and additional framing to get it to look good. Kevin did an exceptional job with demo, framing and drywall. He was great with troubleshooting the surprises of an old home once the demo was completed and was very flexible with additional requests I had to see my vision come to life. He worked non-stop from morning to early evening to get it all accomplished within a week. I will definitely be using Kevin in the future as we have several more demo and drywall projects we would like to get done."

"Joe Wolf and his two painters showed up exactly on time and promptly went to work. They were fast, efficient, clean, helpful, and did an excellent job. Afterward they cleaned up, put the furniture back where it had been, and except for the beautiful new color in my living room, the house looked as if no workmen had ever been in it that day.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.

No. If you overlap seams, the wallpaper will not come out flat. In addition to possibly throwing off your pattern match between rolls, overlapping seems necessary. If wallpaper is properly acclimated, and temperature and moisture conditions are optimal during installation, there is no reason to fear shrinkage as it dries.

The color of the paint, its opacity, and the depth of the texture on the paper all affect how many coats of paint you need to apply to paintable wallpaper. You'll need at least two coats of paint to ensure even coverage. Don’t be surprised if you need to apply three coats if the embossing is very deep or if you use a dark color.
