"It should be noted that I ultimately did not have any tinting done. This was mainly due to Marcos the owner being an extremely trustworthy and honest businessman. His communication was ecellent. He was running fifteen minutes behind and called me to make me aware of it.
At my house he advised me that if I added tint to windows in a specific room I was thinking of doing it would change the appearance of the outside windows and thus would not match the rest of the outside windows in the house. He actually suggested I do something else to the windows which would be done through a completely different company. He spent a good amount of time on my home and wanted to make sure that we were going to be happy so it didn't matter to him that he was giving up business.
I highly recommend Marco and his company. There's a reason why his reviews are so good on Angies List. He even noticed the tinting on my car and told me whoever did it did an excellent job. Such honesty!!! Another person may have lied and said its a terrible job so he could possibly get the business in the future BUT not Marco.
I won't hesitate to use Marco in the future if the need arises.
Keep up the good work!"

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

The visibility through tinted house windows depends on the lighting. During the day, when it is brighter outside, privacy film prevents people from seeing into your home. However, this effect reverses at night. If you have lights on inside, it becomes brighter indoors than outdoors, allowing people to see inside. To optimize privacy, you can select from various shades of film, ranging from lighter to darker, which affects how much is visible from the outside.

To darken your windows without curtains, try installing window film or even installing an awning outside your windows. Window film is a DIY-friendly option with many different darkness levels you can choose from to fit your desired look. Awnings can also help by casting shade over your window, though this isn’t feasible for every home.

Modern windows provide enhanced UV protection, improved heat retention, and cooling efficiency, contributing to overall household energy savings.

Energy-efficient windows are judged on their performance according to a few different factors, including heat transfer, air leakage, light transference, and condensation resistance. If you're unsure whether a window is energy-efficient, look for an ENERGY STAR® label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If various products, including windows, meet energy-efficiency standards set by the federal government, the EPA issues this label to help consumers identify energy-efficient products.

Applying window security film yourself is possible, but we don’t recommend it. This task is simple in theory, but getting the product to sit on your windows evenly and without bubbles underneath is challenging for DIYers who lack the necessary experience and tools. You might save money on labor by applying it yourself, but you might also end up with a film that doesn’t look appealing, prompting you to start over and spend the money on a professional installation anyway. Plus, most window film manufacturers will void your warranty if you install the product yourself.
