"CoolVu of Space Coast Window tinting service CoolVu gets 10 stars in my book! Everything about their service is exceptional. Tiasha is not only professional in every sense of the word, she is also gracious, friendly, and puts up with my attention demanding dog while she works! Both Tiasha and Philip patiently helped us select the best option for our skylights and glass sliding doors. We were so pleased with the results we requested additional services to tint our 3 breakfast room windows. Once again, the service and results are flawless. Clearly, we highly recommend CoolVu of Space Coast! Thank you!  "

"AGP was a great company to work with--from site survey and proposal, to the manufacture, and installation of the finished product. The sales engineer was knowledgeable and very helpful in determining the optimum configuration for the screen to protect the interior glass windows and 2 custom sliding glass doors in a very cost effective solution. The actual installation went smoothly, with a group of workers who were very pleasant and professional, and they ensured that we were fully instructed on the operation and maintenance of the screen. I highly recommend them for any hurricane protection projects."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

Visibility through tinted house windows or privacy film depends on the lighting. During the day, the tint or film typically prevents people from seeing inside. However, at night, if you have lights on inside your home, the interior will be brighter than the outside, which allows people to see in. You can choose from various shades of privacy film, from lighter to darker, to optimize the level of privacy you want.

You can easily and cheaply use tin foil or cardboard to black out your windows. Save a pretty penny by cutting either material to the size of your windows and taping it to the window. This is one of the easiest and most budget-friendly blackout solutions, but it definitely isn’t the most aesthetically friendly.

Do not use Windex or any glass cleaner when applying window film. These products contain ammonia, which will damage the film. Instead, use the application solution provided with the installation kit. If there is no solution, make your own using 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo and a gallon of bottled water.

Tinted window films for houses are usually made from a micro-thin sheet of thermoplastic resin called polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that offers the strength and flexibility needed when fitting film to a window. Homeowners looking for a solution that insulates a window without blocking light from a home should investigate low-e glass vs. window film.

Solar screens reduce glare and block UV rays, which may slightly dim natural light and alter the view from inside. However, most homeowners find the trade-off worthwhile for improved comfort and energy savings. The impact depends on the screen’s color and density, with darker screens blocking more light but providing enhanced glare reduction and privacy.
