"They were amazing! Extremely fast response and fair price. They were very friendly, and got the job done safely and quickly. It was pretty amazing to see them work and cut down/remove a pretty tall pine tree. Do not hesitate to contact them for your tree removal needs."

"Brent responded immediately, and was able to give us an estimate right away. He did the job the very next morning. We are very happy with the work done, as well as the cleanup. We found the rates very reasonable. When we need any type of tree service in the future, we will definitely call Potter's Tree Service."

"Mathew and Jean were so professional and kind. I had a tree that was in a difficult area. Mathew said he could cut it down and it would fall in the road. It was amazing! It fell exactly where he said. I would give 10 stars!"

Customers say: Quick response

"We had a future building site cleared and leveled out by G & H Tractor. We found Justin Gillman to be honest, trustworthy and dependable. After the home was built, we called him back for topsoil delivery and distribution for landscaping and drainage purposes. We really liked the follow through that he provided. He would occasionally check in with us to see if anything had settled or if we need any new material brought in. He did not charge us for these check ups. He wanted to make sure that we were totally satisfied, which we were!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

For trimming trees, your best tool is a pair of pruning shears or loppers. Both options work best for branches that are under 3 inches in diameter. Trimming trees with a larger diameter may require a robust tool like a small chainsaw or a handsaw, so take into account your tree’s diameter when deciding between tools.

A few signs a tree may be dead is if the leaves are dead and there are no signs of new blooms. You can also perform a scratch test on some of the branches to check the condition of the cambium layer beneath the bark.

If it is green, it is still alive, but if several are dry, brittle, and brown, the tree may be dying or dead. Always consult an arborist before assuming your tree is dead because you may be able to save it.

Common signs that a tree is rotting include dead branches, a leaning trunk, peeling or cracked bark, leaf discoloration, and the presence of fungi. If you notice any of these signs, it’s best to hire an arborist near you to inspect your tree and determine if it can be saved or if it needs to come down.

Costs depend on tree height, trunk diameter, removal complexity, and required equipment.

State and local laws vary, but in most cases, you are allowed to trim any branches from your neighbor's tree that cross your property line. However, it's important to ensure you do not damage the overall health of the tree in the process. Removing branches incorrectly can jeopardize the health of the tree and could lead to you being on the hook to replace it.
