Customers say: Quality work

"He did a fair job for the couple of months he did come. I had to remind him every time to cut it loose because he preferred to just leave it high. He had no regard for my personal property. He weed whacked some of my plants, almost knocked down my birdhouse, cut up my dogs cable and didn?t even apologize when I pointed it out. Customer service was awful. Would not reply to text to inform you when our why he didn?t show up to do the lawn. Even if you had a concern about his work he would just ignore the message until he showed up again."

"At being contacting multiple landscaping and tree removal businesses. DCA, were the only ones to actually show up and schedule a time. They provide prompt service and budget friendly. The work quality was great! They took care of my overgrown yard and removed a dead tree that had become a nuisance. I will continue to use them for all of my yard needs and recommend everyone I know."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

The main problem with crabgrass is that it produces thousands of seeds that can remain dormant until the following season. To get rid of it, you have to remove existing plants before they have a chance to spread seeds and stop old seeds from germinating.

The best way to prevent weeds is to use polymeric sand, which hardens and blocks weed growth when activated with water. If you're using regular sand, you'll need to refill and compact it more often. Keeping the surface clean and free of debris can also help prevent weed seeds from settling in the joints.

They regularly monitor health, applying preventative fungicides and providing customized care to reduce disease risks.

Jet washing can wash away weeds without bending or kneeling to pull them. However, the results will likely be fleeting because the weeds will return unless you use a stronger method that takes them out at the root. Use a jet washer for short-term weed removal, but use a stronger method if you want to get rid of weeds for good.

All herbicides come with risks, but you can control and mitigate risks by discussing your options with your weed service company before application. Some companies use milder or sustainable herbicides more times per season to control weeds rather than one to two herbicide sprayings annually. You can also ask your professional about pet-friendly and kid-friendly services. In most cases, though, you can wait a few days after the application for the herbicides to soak into the ground, at that point they shouldn’t pose a risk to you or your family.
